you bought a Suzuki and an SV at that, they alllllll rust at the slightest hint of water. Thing is theres no point just washing it, you have to polish and wax it, and grease stuff too

Yea i gave it a nice clean up yesterday got all the grease off found out it had a white rear suspension spring :o and sprayed a lot of it with gt 85, tbh though you dont really expect a 3 month old exhaust to go like that if you bought a brand new bike and the standrad exhaust rusted after same amount of time you'd take it back to where you bought it from.

I can't see the picture (my browser's knackered) but if you're talking about the pipes (not the can) most exhaust manufacturers will tell you you're supposed to paint them, unless it's stainless.

have you seen the amount of salt on the road lately? Unfortunately, its what happens. Did you know you get more salt damage in summer? According to scottoiler FS365 its what happens. I know your disappointed, but thats life with a suzuki...its a chore to keep up with them.

It's a Viper can, guaranteed to corrode even faster than a standard SV oil cooler grill.

Should have bought a titanium sleeved Akrapovic ;)

If "26mm" is what you call approximate, I'd love to see what you call precise.

Well, I work as a draughtsman in the metal industry, with tolerances down to 0.05mm, so intervals in entire milimeters is quite coarse to me.
Still, you caught me. It was 260mm.
But the piece I cut off, was measured to 260 kinda ind a hurry, so it might be anything between 250 &270 cm. Not that it would matter much to performance or sound.

Now that I come to think of it, perhaps it was only 120mm.
Still, haven't heard better sound for the SV650 yet. ^^

As you can see in a later reply I got corrected. Now I recall it being 120mm. About the same as yours. Would imagine it sounding just as brutal on the pointy. :smt070

*EDIT*
You REALLY oughta remove that sticker! Red and yellow doesn't go for anything. Well, except pizza.
