def lepord, whitesnake, Motley Crue
Wait, what year is it, 1984?
Slipknot, Korn, The Prodigy,
Ah, no, wait... It's 1998 isn't it.
Pendulum????????
Oh thank god, it's still 2009. I thought I was going mad.
It'd be a great festival, if they made it a one dayer. Maybe two, maybe. But they'll do the same as every year and spread the talent across 3 days and pad it out with absolute rubbish.
Pendulum, give it a try folks... They're a band best enjoyed live, down the front, going mad- all about suspension of disbelief. They pretty much laid waste at Reading last year. I hurt myself quite badly when they did Master of Puppets in Glasgow, nearly dislocated my head
Rockness this year Northy? :)

Motley Crue would be brilliant if Nick Corabi was still singing for them.
Vince Neil just can't cut it live. In fact he is not much better in the studio.
[cue slagging from Vince fans]
I agree that the Download festival should be shortened with less dross filling up the time.
It used to be a purely rock event, but this has diversified to try and get more punters in. Its had the reverse effect on me - because its more diverse there is less on the bill to tempt me to part with an extortionate amount of cash.
Hey ho.
At £160 per ticket i v much doubt it unless its a fantastic lineup, theres another metal gig/festival in Aug at knebworth-so far linkin park & metallica have been announced for that one, think i'll give that one a go

I'll probably end up getting a day ticket, wait till full line up is realised unless I'm blind and can't see it.

Manson, ZZ Top and Killswitch Engage have been added.
I hate the idea of camping in a crowded field and not washing for 3 days straight and having to take dumps in overfilled portable toilets, and probably getting half your stuff nicked from your tent.

The toilets were really good at download last year, I only encountered dirty ones on the last night which is to be expected. Nothing has ever been nicked from my tent in the 7 years I've been going to festivals.

Never had anything stolen from mine either... i dont leave anything in it anyway...

I like Motley Crue but I doubt anyone could seriously claim that Vince Neil is a good singer.

Camping at festivals is the highest level of human civilisation. 70000 ****ed idiots, fire, drink, drugs, all policed by gutter sweepings in hiviz, and yet there's only ever a couple of deaths. Imagine putting that lot in the middle of your average town centre and see what happens.
I LOVE festivals
Castle Park Rock for me :-D

Its a laugh, theres showers on site or you just use babywipes, toilets arent too bad usually and ive never had anything nicked from a tent when ive been there

Its the random chants at various hours of the night/early morning. that make me smile..usually at download its... "TIIIMMMAYYYHHHHHH" :smt040 and the sing alongs that happen, last download i went to everyone was singing "whats that coming over the hill, is it a monster!"

Love getting into the "festival fuzz" for 4 days. Taking my mate and his wife (late 30's) to their 1st festie (T) this year part of a group of a dozen. Finally going cos they are sick of us raving about it. Not sure whats going to be more entertaining, the bands or them getting off their heads morning, noon and night.:p
For the record ,"How bigs your telly?!!!!" is a favorite random shout.:)
