With the old SV I wasn't too precious about it, and never used a dust sheet in the garage, but I'm picking up my new (to me) bike today and have been wondering.....
Now is a dust sheet/indoor cover worth it to stop any small scratches etc when in the garage, or is it just going to cause micro scratches and condensation issues?
So what's the wisdom from the .org, should I get one?
And if so what type, an old bed sheet, a cheap one or some superspangly type?
Note I do not want a bike equivalent of a car coon!

Couldn't you just use an outdoor rain cover? Or would that contribute to the condensation problem  Otherwise a soft cotton bed sheet...

I use an outdoor cover on mine in the garage, I don't know the make but it's fairly solid material with a slightly furry inner lining. No problems to report so far other than spider webs up inside the cover
We have a micro-fibre cover for ours, even though it's kept in the house, as the cats have a habit of jumping up and sitting on it:D
Got ours cheap off e bay.

I use an old duvet, the padding protects from any minor knocks

When I looked into this I was advised that most outdoor ones tended to form condensation and do more harm than good. Outdoor ones with the furry lining (Oxford Stormex for example) are supposed to alleviate this problem.

I use a single flanelette bed sheet and still have an OK bike after 8 years, just trim it so as it doesen't touch a hot exhaust. You dont have to have it all the way to the floor as they hang over and cover any dust settling. Cheap and cheerful solution
I just leave it in the garage...
