Does anyone know of any companies that offer multi-bike policies?

I've just seen a bike at a very nice price, and subject to insurance, could be tempted...

yup Carole Nash.
Obviously got both SVs on the same policy. Rang them a few months back for a quote on an Xtra Rap, and they said I could put it on the same one....and I could have as many bikes as I wanted on it 8) as it was unlimited

Footman James do too, but I've not used them. Im Indoors had some of his with them, ut transferred to CN last year

OK, that was supprising. Pleasantly so.

Discussions will have to be had before I make a decision.

Thanks for the tips folks.

D675 56 plate, 2073 miles, £3500, could probably get it for less. Has a datatool fitted.

How much? You sure it hasn't been stolen and they're after a quick sale, thats cheap as chips!! Unless the D stands for Donkey buy buy buy!!!

It has minor cosmetic damage, hence the price. Left indicator is missing, and there's a dent in the tank.

I also happen to know somewhere that has a written off D675 with a decent tank. :-D

Ahh i see, well atleast if you get two you'll have plenty of spares. Cracking though, but i fancy they're overtaking the GSXR's on here now. Which isn't a bad thing they're common as muck!!!

Most companies offer multi-bike policies, so it's kinda hard to answer :) Express who I am with are multi-bike (although I'm actually with Equity Red Star which no doubt is the one who makes the decision). 2 bikes here :)

Most insurance companies do it, i know a chap i go riding with has a scooter and a Honda CBR954, he uses his scoot for going to work and the Honda is his weekend tool. It lowered his premium by adding the scooter as his main bike!!

Devitts got me multibike through Norwich Union with protected no claims.

The low mileage was doubled so i get 3000 miles on each bike not just one.

Ah, well, maybe a ZX-10R would suit sir? In black, 15k miles, '05 model (with a carbon fibre effect tank pad). £3995.

Only thing wrong with that is that it has no mirrors, and one of the indicators has snapped.

I think I might need to take a week off work to visit & weigh up my options - as both bikes are in the same place. :D

I'm with Norwich Union (not the same as N.U.Direct note) and have a 4-bike policy, the highest grouping one is the principal bike, then additional bikes are free if valued <£1k, and IIRC it's 1.5% of the additional value if >£1k (so a £2k bike costs £15, £3k costs £30 etc).

There's a couple of other options I'm looking at. As I already said in this thread, there's a nice ZX10 there too. As well as a couple of others I'm interested in looking at.

Though practically, I might need to finish building the workshop before I buy anything. :(

I have seen that Daytona also. Hasn't it got a cracked front fairing and a cracked read fender and a missing pillion pad?

That's the one. :)

The cracked plastics can be welded pretty easily, and the pillion pad could easily be replaced by either another pad or a cowl. :)

Like I said, the same place also has a very tidy ZX10 in black, in their supersports section.

I have just seen the ZX10 but personally think that D675 represents the best value.
The ZX10 is nice but as in your original post you said it depends on insurance. If I had the money I would be tempted by that D675 too. :)

For me to run the SV and D675, fully comp, would be £366/year to insure. :D

As I said though, being practical, I might need to finish building the workshop in the back garden first. Then I might need to get extra brownie points by making a start on the pond. :smt083 By that time, the 675 will be long gone at that price.

Though I do keep looking there to see what they've got.

Its been there for a wee while. I saw that last week sometime.

There is also a very nice 2008 K7 GSXR600 on there. Comestic to left hand side, its also says damage to engine cover and oil pump housing. Wonder how bad that is, but if it aint bad that is up for £3250!!

Hence why I said I might have to take a week off work to check out various options, and that's just at that one shop!!!
