I'm looking to buy a new can end for my SV650 k5 and the other day I found a nice looking can in ebay that was sold quite cheap. It was a PRP (Performance racing parts) can, but I never heard of them before. Does
anyone knows anything about this maker?

Looks ok even though the guy is wrong when he says it will fit '98 onwards. The pointy exhaust has a larger downpipe diameter.

Any can will do, the SV isn't that sensitive to cans. Fuel is about the best budget (~£120) ones out there and is English and has a guarantee.

My mate had some cans made up for his duke 999 by prp and they dont look too bad, i wouldnt say theyr as good quality as fuel/ccc but you get what you pay for at the end of the day. Think he paid bout £200 for a pair but i think hes put the prices up a bit now.
If it was me i would rather stump up the extra 20/30 quid an get a fuel can after seeing my bros falco with em on - wat a noise!!!

I sent them an email asking how much for that tri-oval can in carbon with a hi-level link pipe and a removable baffle and i just got the reply... £195 plus postage. It looks like they are not as cheap as i thought.
Do you think it worth to pay that money for a PRP can?

Going on the quality of their cans and my CCC can i would rather pay the £198 i paid for my twin exit carbon can, ok it was only a standard link pipe but i dont think theres much price difference between the two.
Mine came with removable baffles aswell but i think most cans do nowadays anyway.
I would have to mention aswell that my mate with the duke recommended them to another mate from work but he wasnt happy with it and sent it back, might be a one off though

Bit of a long story but basically i had a bit of an off last year an scraped the standard level link pipe i had so i decided to get a high level one.
My mate wanted a half system for his duke and went to prp to get it sorted, the guy at prp gets all his pipework made at a small workshop near market rasen which is where my mate had to leave his bike to get all the pipework formed.
I started speakin to the guy there an he said he could do me a high level link pipe quite cheap and i found that they do some work for Bike-it so the pipework wasnt bad quality. Did take a second attempt to get it right though but now i really like the look of it.
The pipework on my mates duke looks really good but i just didnt like the look of the cans, where normal cans have rolled ends on the exits his had what looks like a weld seam thats been ground and polished. My mates really chuffed with it cos it was cheap an a one off but id have rather paid a bit more to get better quality
