Hi all,

I was flicking through ebay for a new exhaust for my K8 sv650 when i noticed this guy selling some nice looking cans.

Anyone ever dealt with this guy or any ideas whether these exhausts are any good?

The link to his ebay page is: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=360099989536

any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Thats the same can as mine I think, I picked mine up at the BMF. There is basically nothing to it, almost a carbon extension to the link pipe.

However I think it looks pretty cool and is very, very loud!

yeah they look the business. Is the price (£140) good value for money or are there cheaper similar cans out there. Also is it road legal??

its probably not legal, although there is no stamps on it.

i was going to buy a 2nd hand can and cut it down my self, but could not be botherd,

i thinks its awsome, although you lose bhp as its so short,

Maybe a silly question but I am tired (excuses) are these road legal or would it defo be a pinch from the local thugs in uniform??

In that case, it's illegal (C and U) but will probably pass an MOT.

Also, the K8 has a sensor in the link pipe doesn't it? Need to exercise care there...

All depends on where you live, the way you ride and fate.

We had a stubby from A16 and never got pulled for it.

Check his feedback out, looks like someones given him a best offer of 120 for one and he's accepted and if the options there to give a best offer it's worth doing imo. I got a pair of calipers for 35 (with half decent pads as well) thinking my best offer wouldn't be accepted but it was:D.

Think I've got one in stainless from the same guy (looks very similar anyway) and I can confirm it is LOUD. Even with a baffle in it's louder than most cans WITHOUT a baffle. If I don't put the baffle in you can hear me coming from about a mile away.
