after market rear sets / rear break lights

I have some after market rear sets which came with the bike. The brake light doesnt come on (front brake fine) so I am presuming the part required with the o/e rearsets was removed with the original pegs.

Is there a simple fix - not sure if I can retro fit the original item or have to purchase an aftermarket one. Plus I dont know what the part is....:confused:
