Pix follow. I'm the second owner, and took the bike on a year ago to put a grin on my face. It worked. :-D
The bike started life as a new SV400 (on an X plate) and in 05 visited James Holland at JHS (minitwins etc). He bunged in a 2.5k miles SV650 lump, jetted it, sorted a BMC filter and full M4 system and ended up with 75 brake @ RW (have charts and documentation). Anything with weight inc the fairing came off. Braided HEL hoses, new fork internals, front caliper rebuild new seals and pads, ZX6R master cylinder, 916 tail with LEDS, longer suspension linkage, clip ons and rear sets and more. I've kept the latter along with spare dogbones and a whole host of bits and pieces inc front muddy, and bunged on indicators and flat bars etc. I can supply all the details and documentation, she has a couple of months MOT to run (and several months tax) and has never missed a beat. Since there is no odometer I have to calculate the miles from the JHS lump going in, and I estimate that to be 6,750 all up. HPI clear, V5 present. £1K for the bike and all associated spares. Set it up with the forks through the yokes and bung on the longer linkage and the thing turns on a sixpence - she's pretty agile as is. Great scratcher / track bike. Loads more pix including all the spares. I hope someone enjoys the bike as much as I have.

yeah, tis a grand with all the spares (in attached pic) thrown in. The beauty of the spares is that you can set the bike up to your own spec - so for instance you could put on on the clip ons, rears sets or not, whatever.Somewhere I've even got a set of Lucas bars as in the pic below......note that the muddy is non standard but with cable ties and rubber pads between muddy & forks it worked a treat. Otherwise down the breakers you go...
couldnt bring myself to sell it for less tho............... btw gotta van, so if anyone is interested distance aint necessarily a problem.

Where abouts are you based?

nearer kingston than Derby;): I'm in the SW, Bridport - on the coast between Weymouth & Lyme Regis.
But like I said, the van is always a possibility (I'm in London fairly regularly).

No worries. Stuck it on ebay classifieds with the spares (clippies and sets etc) £1200 and its still the cheapest on there. Not to mention the best power/weight....... A grand for this lot really is a steal. HPI clear BTW.
Just a question, it's single disc breaking on the front, i assume you'd have to change the forks to make it dual ?

No. Same forks as the 650. All you need is a disc, disc bolts, caliper, caliper bolts and a brake line.
ah ha thanks for clearing that up jes, t'was a little hard to make out in the pic, now if you hold on a wee while i'll get my bonus and splash it on a second sv :o

drag, i think you will need to change the forks as there is not a bracket on one for the caliper to bolt too.

of course the stopping power of that single disc c/w ZX6 master cylinder and braided hoses is pretty damn good, also less unsprung weight. Having experienced the twin setup on a standard SV and this, I'm not sure I'd bother changing to a twin setup.
Correction: I definitely wouldn't bother. :-D
When I first had the bike, I kept locking her up and having to let go to bring her back. That rear brake lets you slide real good too, although I have neither the balls nor the ability to make regular use of it

Had a feeling the left fork was missing the caliper bolt fittings.
A 650 with a single disc brake ... cant say i'd be to fond of that. but having not driven it, i shall keep my mouth shut.

I stand corrected!
But all you'll need is the left fork lower as well as all the other stuf I mentioned.

I dont drive bikes, I ride 'em ;) I've been riding since the dark ages (including on the track) and I can promise you a) I wouldn't tolerate crap brakes and b) I don't need the money so badly that I need to lie.
The physics: twice the number of discs does not equal x2 braking force. The single disc has a larger diameter at 320mm than the standard SV set up. That means the pad track is deeper: perfectly adequate for this bike and the bhp produced. Its all a question of horses for courses.
Also it equates to less unsprung mass, the holy grail for anyone interested in corners......... but hey, the proof of the pudding and all that. You won't need any other stuff, believe. Except a grand.

Northy only has 1 disc on the front of his SV with an R6 m/c i think
