Yeah right..! linky (http://news.uk.msn.com/odd-news/article.aspx?cp-documentid=14277706)

if passengers want to share an embrace before they part company, their loved ones should pay to park their cars nearby

What do they (the rail company) think the couples want to get up to..getting jiggy? ;)

If im ever in that direction im still going to kiss my loved one goodbye so :smt019 to virgin rail

surely the sign is a sexist sign. man kissing woman. we also need a man kissing a man, not for my liking but you spread your butter the way you want and nowt wrong with that. and woman kissing woman, now why ban that.

LOL! That's the most ridiculous thing I've read in a while! I thought they'd be going on about how offensive public displays of affection were to passers by but no, it's all about cutting delays? What a load of collytwaddle!

Hmm, reverse psychology marketing gimmick?

Increased revenue from the cafe/car park meters even if extra people don't get a train when they visit just to kiss & break the rules.

If it's against the rules to kiss, then what's to stop someone going further?

PS. Get your mind out of the gutter, I meant breaking the rules in other ways, ie smoking in a public place. No, seriously, I did!! :D

That (wink wink, nudge nudge) didn't even cross my mind until you mentioned it first

IIRC, there's a sign on the platform at Penrith Station which says something like:

"Do not stand close to the edge or you may get sucked off"

Honest!!
