View Full Version : A line of coke to be cheapper than a can of coke
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7897874.stm
A major new cocaine trafficking route has developed into the UK through the Balkans, the UN has warned. Cocaine's street price has dropped to almost half what it was 10 years ago and Home Office figures last week showed a line could be bought for £1.

A can of coke don't cost a quid.
But the cocaine's getting cheaper still, the comparison I saw was that iit is cheaper than a coffee or a bag of chips. Stop ruining my metaphor

It does in WHSmiths, robbing babbons
Mr Speirs

I think they prefer 'robbing baboons' call them babbons and they just look confused.
Oh and sorry Stu. Nice metaphor ;)
A can of coke don't cost a quid. You have never bought a can off a ice cream van in Greenwich then ;)

**** I might start powdering the nostrils instead of boozing. Coke and pills are getting easily cheap enough to consider these days.

Okay okay ill repost my reply.
A can of coke only costs a quid if you are stupid enough to buy one :) ;)
Does it matter, as long as its the real thing!

these days?...10 yrs ago (im told) you could get 300 pills for £100....bout 33 pence each....
you can get an 8th of coke (3.5g) for £80...(im told, and even cheaper the more you buy...im told....)....
both cheaper than a night out on the p*ss (im told, cant remember the last time i went out lol:cheers:)

yeah it's about 50p a pill but people tend to just give you them for nowt (not me I'm a good boy :smt083) I get frustrated with booze prices though.
The othernight I nipped to the pub and managed to spend £25 in like 2 and a halfhours. Go out properly and it gets even more pricey

That's a point and the dribble of red nose juice everyhalf an hour might not help your pulling technique.

If the price drops by half then thats what your house will do too.

The 99p/pint bitter (Greene King IPA) is not a bad pint in the Weatherspoons I frequent (well, once a week!)

Sorry for the derail!
Anyway, assuming that you can get a line of coke for less than the cost of a 2 litre bottle of cider, we could be seeing lots of coked up kids on our streets. That is a frightening thought.

Got to say I have never tried it! It's IPA in our local too but it was the waitress the warned me off it. Maybe she just couldn't be arsed to change a barrel or sommat.

pills for that much easy. sell them on for £2-£3 each and you wonder why kids deal.
coke you can get for £40-£50 per gram, more for better quality. But still, that dosent equate to £1 a line. The news talk some ****, they really do.

It's just an indication that we have a healthy, competitive market for illicit substances. That's good, right?

Why is someone on coke more frightening than some p1ssed up yobbo looking for a fight?
Society says xyzx, so it must be right.....
Nex thing they will say is speed (driving speed) is a killer....
And no, I don't touch drugs like that.

Because cokeheads think they're invincible (more so than p1ssheads)
Do they?
People i've met on coke haven't been aggressive like a drunk.
Maybe its just the crowed I know.

Whatever the drug it depends on the person. I was just saying one reason an agressive cokehead would be worse than an agressive p1sshead is because they'll feel more invinceable.

drunk = invincible
coked up = chatty and more calm than drunk
crack = invincible and crazy and just stay away.
one of my aquantances used to do lots of coke, then moved onto crack and he was just an animal, when high, and a different but equally bad animal when on a come down. he would scrap over anything and nothing, but he wasnt like that at all on coke.
but still, just stay away from it all ;)

It doesn't make you think you're invincible, it makes you think you're very very very interesting in a manner inversely proportional to reality.
There are few things as boring as someone on coke, rabbiting on about a load of old cack, unless you're also on coke in which case it becomes absolutely fascinating.
Easier to hold a train of thought than speed, too.
Some posh tw@ came up to me in a bar in Birmingham and asked me if I knew where he could get some coke- I just laughed at him and walked away.

Quite- the reason it's so cheap is there's not enough active ingredient in coke/pills these days to notice.
So I'm told.
Not even worth the lower price.
Anyway- coke or Coke- both as bad as each other in my opinion...

Yeah. I think most people are getting fed up not knowing what they buy.
Never been a coke fan myself though. I can see the point of it. Just isn't my thing.

Yeah. Knocked it on the head meself- as with all other illicit substances. While I didn't pay for any of the last lot I had (some time ago), I did wonder why people bothered. By paying a dealer for absolute rubbish (though some will argue it all is!), you're telling them it's OK to sell it in that condition.
Used to enjoy a few different things, in an occasional, recreational manner. Have to say I'm far better without it these days- so much to achieve and can do without the nonsense that comes with it all.
Now booze- that's another thing I should cut right down, on top of the usual month end, cash induced teetotalism...
At least I've knocked coffee on the head- a much underestimated drug is caffeine. Will be 3 months tomorrow.
But when I smell good coffee- by the Gods I'm sorely tempted...!

It's the difference between socially acceptable and not. Also the industry that's behind it.
Let's face it- the seediness of the coke trade is worn on it's sleeve. Yet millions of people buy Nescafe, despite concerns over Nestle's conduct in developing countrys.
I guess the social acceptability of substances is in some ways (even if unintentionally) wrapped in hypocrisy. The information age is slowly changing that, but slowly.

I am addicted to Coke.
I have to have it.
I have some every night just before bed and every morning as soon as I wake up. Then more thoughout the day.
I love the stuff.

They have an opinion, therefore it must be right, without prior knowledge..........

i have a very strong opinion on drugs....and plenty of experience.....the effects of alchohol and tobacco are far worse IMO than a lot of banned substances...i think the uk and most of the rest of the world have it all wrong........but who am i to change it!

Should it all be legalised?
Then we can simply go down the qwacks ,get the prescription and away you go.
People use them anyway ,and the laws arnt working.
I know there are pros and cons to the above, but I think the pros are much bigger than the cons.

Even though I do not use anything - rarely even drink that often these days, there would be a net gain.
Users get guaranteed pure drugs, so no complications due to contaminants.
As this WOULDN'T be prescription based (well maybe you would have to see your doctor once, get the information etc and then be registered to use - which would get you a card, a bit like a repeat prescription thing, which would also allow you to carry a certain amount without being arrested - a licence would perhaps be a better way of putting it.) but it would NOT be covered under the prescription system - you would have to pay a set amount for it, enough to cover all costs of production and distribution, but not enough to mean that you could deal it to make a meaningful profit.
The whole licence thing is not so that we know "who the junkie scum are", but so that people are educated about the whole situation and can get advice from medical professionals on how to safely do their drug of choice. I would even roll it out to cover Alcohol and Tobacco.

agree with the above. The gov could/would tax it too a get a few more pence in. Although there'd be a lot of drugs this wouldn't be suitable with I suppose.
