I managed to fail my practical today making a ridiculous mistake.
I was nervous about U turns because originally I took like duck to water to 'em, no problems. After not riding for 3 weeks over xmas I lost my touch, however that went fine.
Although there are roadworks on a major round-a-bout here, Griff Island, and as I was coming down, totally forgot about the road works, went passed a 30mph sign as I was approaching not realising as I was on the far side of the lane as the lorry in front of me was badly positioned, and all of a sudden I heard, "its a 30.." rage. Looked down and was tickling 55/60, plus the traffic was coming passed me faster.
Bit of a silly mistake, but we live and learn :) And at the end of the day that could of been my life and poor observations.
But on the plus side on got 2 minors

unlucky mate sounds like you had a really good ride aprt from that sure ull be fine next time
I always think it miserable when examiners do this over one thing - it must have been perfectly obvious that you were a safe rider.
Chin up fella, you'll nail it next time.

DOH! Like you say - lesson learnt. Now don't do it again!
Godd luck for next time
Gutted mate, sorry to hear that.
Godd luck next time :D
That's a real shame since other drivers were passing you, and i assume it's normally a 60 limit. Try to not let it get you down, and book another the next time you're available.
Good luck on the next one, and given only the two minors you should have no trouble passing.

Its a 70, but I had a lorry in front so didn't want to get too close.
No point dwelling, just have to get the next one booked :)

so everyone, including 7.5t+ lorries, were overtaking you. making you the safest road user there and you failed your practical. cant life be so barmy at times.
like you said james lesson learned.
stay focused next time then and it'll be a walk in the park.
Unlucky mate chin up better luck next time.;)

I entered the 30 zone at 60 as I missed the tempory road works sign, partly my excuse being the lorry in front was far on the left, but also I know I must have been too close to miss that, I'm not sure just bad mistake and everybody makes them, I slowed down as soon as he said and gap in front and cars coming by increased.
Don't know what happened to miss it, but ah well I won't do that again and won't dwell on it either.
