Hhhmmm, I have been having a fall out with oxford stuff lately.

I had Oxford panniers with rubbish rain covers that shredded on first us. Apparently, I am not the first to suffer this.

I've just bought some Tech 7 panniers which seem okay for the money. I don't think the rain covers will last long though.

Tents - anything by Vango is great.

Need to know more about budget, number of people and your preference of cash spent vs how small it packs down.

There are other threads on here about tents - one even mentioned one aimed at bikers.

It wasn't that great.

My usual place (only used them 2 or 3 times) has the following couple of tents to consider.

1st there is the smallest one you will get - only 2kg in weight, but a bit snug - however I have an earlier model that is even smaller and that was ok with me and my Mrs at the last Annual Rideout.

If worried about the cash then this is cheap and a bit bigger, still under 3kg and only an inch or so bigger when packed.

This may be a bit better - it can be pitched in a single stage - so is easier to put up in bad weather. A bit heavier and bigger again.

Its not the one I would recommend - if you are going to be camping a lot spend a bit more.

I have 2 different Vango's - the little light one that gets used about 3 or 4 times a year and the equivilent of the Sigma 300+ which I have used once - but has been loaned out a few times.

Both are more than 3 years old, both are still in great condition.

Look ahead and either get the tunnel or the ultra-light - nothing wrong with the one you seem to be considering, but the other ones ARE better.

Bit of brand advice... Gelert and Coleman... 2 man that packs down nice and small for carrying on the bike. I've a Mountain Hardwear 3man already, but its a bit too big to carry on the bike.
