Idea is leave Jack Hills cafe at 10.15. Pick up any peeps at Ma Larkins at 11, then head over to Bourton on the Water for lunch. Suitably refreshed we then head off to go down then up Fish Hill. B road to finish at Stratford.

Remember this is the first of the month so all you who have Sorned your bikes can get rid of the cobwebs, and dust off the bike, and those of you with newly registered bikes could run em in and make us jealous.

Any takers?

Can't make this one either Pete. It will probably be the Peaks ride on the 21st before i next meet you and Lissa...

Will we be going past plenty of garages with air pumps? ;)

If I'm still allowed to to come after my mess up on the last one then put me down as a maybe. I'm having a new rear tyre, chain and sprockets put on Saturday and if all goes well then I'll use this to scrub it in.

Hey Smeggons, can't allow for a puncture. it's just one of those things. :(

Could have been any of us.

Blimey, surprised you've got any money left after you've put all that lot on your bike, but if you can find some money down the side of the sofa, you're more than welcome.

I know - its not the 120 miles to the start - I can handle that - its the 160 miles home from the finish that would finish me off!

I'm going to beg the wife to let me out, though don't know how I will justify 2 rideouts in 6 days  Maybe it'll look more plausible if I meet up at Bourton and do the end, besides that stretch from Cirencester to Cheltenham is one of my all-time favourite bits of road and the ride is going in the best direction along it.

TBC.

Hi Pete,
Looking to stretch the Bird's wings for the first time this year:rolleyes:
Mind if we pick up with you in Bibury and then tag along up to Bourton, perhaps Stratford? (depends how Joy's back holds out)
Any guesstimates on what time you will be passing thru Bibury? I'm guessing at 12 to 1230?

Cheers

!2.30 if we were all riding Birds maybe Leigh, but nearer 11.30 on V twins. :p

Our timings are 11.05 at Ma Larkins, and it's 22 miles to Bibury (which did surprise me!), so 30 minutes or less.

Would you be parked by the tea rooms at the trout fishery?

Be great to see you again and with Joy hopefully on the back.

So that could be three of us doing the Severn Circuit the following Saturday?

LOL well would you adam and eve it. Was out washing the bike today when what did I notice in the front tyre, a nice big fat sharp ended stone. I decided to take it out in the hope it hasn't gone through the tyre. There's no hissing sound, no bubbles from spit on the tyre but there is tiny tiny tiny bubbles forming with a mixture of washing up liquid and water.

So I'm going to see how it is in the morning and I'll post up here weather or not I'm going. :D

This has to have been one of the best local'ish rideouts that I've been on with some really great company.

Thanks to Tilt for taking me part way home and the MG for making Milton Keynes so much fun for travelling through. :D

I can now say, tyres successfully scrubbed.

Very rare any rideouts go from MS. We all have to travel a far distance to get to the start point of rideouts. Unfortunately it is a big area.

Smeggons. Nice pics. I think you liked the Gixxer 6 or at least the exhaust note.

Reccon I must have missed you all by about one wrong turn and 3 minutes.... I was then faced with a dilema.... hunt you down or have a full english breakfast.

Sorry people.... the appalling truth is the fried breakfast won.....the weather had even warmed up by the time I finished the second cup of tea too....

Called in at silverstone....to clean Visor so I could see something through it and watch Orgers circulating for a bit.... meandered a little circuitously to Ma Larkins... Posh teacups and everything.... Meandered eventually to stratford feeling something like the churchill dog.... then quick call back at silverstone in a failed attempt at another cuppa, then home.

So a 300plus day out.

Frozen by the time I got back.

Attempts at convincing myself I don't want a change of bike slightly undermined by Jester's CBR, and a couple I met on a pair of triumphs who commited a crime against taste by parking an orange bike slap bang next to my yellow one.

Wasting the world's energy resources...

Next....
