god ur msn's busy :)
i'm not surpirsed it's giving up the ghost look how many prgrams your running at once poor computer's getting a kicking.
How much crap on your machine!!!!
If it's a college machine - could it have a virus. Actually, if it's your home PC, when'd you last update & run your virus software.
It could be that you need to get a Windows Update on your MS software.
The easiest thing to do is to open up MS Internet Explorer then in the top menu options choose ->Tools -> Windows Update - then follow all the instructions from your friends at Microsoft.
Alot of crap on my machine..
Somehow i just got it working..
Getting some MS updates just now..
As for virus software, norton any good?
Last did a full system scan on the 29th of last month, and a quick scan today..

It looked like you were scanning when the crash happened - best to not scan ad work at the same time.
Naaa i wasnt..
It crashed, then i started scanning, couldn't find anything..
I always scan/install programs with all other windows closed..
Has it only just started to happen?
Have you installed any new programs or hardware recently? if so you may want to uninistall that program or update the drivers for the hardware as it could be a conflicting with ms office.

highly recoment AGV, I found 7 viruses on my computor most of which are trogant hoarses, so had over 300 infected files and AVG sorted it out, it now runs perfect and faster than ever. what came up there doesnt look like a genuine microsoft pop up, i may be wrong, but have a scan with agv. Also if you have limewire it screws over loads of programs. might help......
Limewire, used to run it, got rid a year or so, it was too corrupted..
Run another similiar downloading tool atm..
Which one should i choose?

downloading full stop screws your comp, its so easy to get into computors through people downloading, i have seen it be done, someones just hacked into Xbox online. amazing what people can do. anyway, there both free so go with the second one your get more with it. run it and it also shows you how man thretining cookies you have, try that also delete all you history and cookies from your comp, might free a bit of space.

Looked fine to me. It looked like the app was corrupt - hence the winword.exe issues.
Does it happen with just the current document or any document opened in this program?
Try saving the document with a new name, and deleting the orignal.
It could be the original document itself is corrupted, so a freshly named version might do the trick...
Remove the Microsoft Works Addin from MS Office. Then kiss goodbye to C++ runtime errors. :)
There's a few funny comments in this thread. Completely inaccurate, but funny.

Thanks for the advice guys..

On a colleague's work computer he had a problem with programs just closing randomly in the middle of things. Just crashing to desktop without any warning or errors. Upon a full scan with the latest AVG we found a virus called nveaux32 which was causing it. After cleaning that up it stopped happening.
