Parents complaining about the presenter having one arm. Xenophobic ar*eholes.
This is the kind of stuff that really does get my blood boiling. My daughter is fine with the presenter and people that I have spoken to recently have also been fine with.
OOOh I sooo want to crush a grape!!!

was watching this on the beeb this morning. Only a handful have complained the lass's arm scares the kids.
I much preferred the comment, my little lad isn't scared by her at all, but he don't like her singing!
Its perhaps a good thing, as it gets adults to talk about the issue and explain. Although if adults didn't get het up about it, the kids wouldn't notice. As they see someone with a missing limb or disability in a whole different way to big people

bloody right too

freaks used to be in the circus in victorian times. things were simpler then. women couldnt vote, goliwogs advertised jam, we'd go to work on an egg eat chips and lard and still have change from a tanner

She's well tasty.

It's just a shame that some 'busy bodies' would rather spend time complaining instead of doing what they're supposed to do...i.e.speaking to their kids.

My daughter watches Cbeebies all day, and there's a hundred things I could think of to complain about, Cerrie is not one of them, in fact she is probably the best presenter on there. These idiots complaining should have their kids taken into care and then they should be sterilised, there's enough w**kers in this world already.

And anyway, the programmes we grew up with were a lot scarier than the toddler-friendly stuff on Cbeebies; Box of Delights, Rent-a-ghost with that demonic pantomime horse, and Morph.

In my opinion it is up to the parents to educate their kids, I see it as a good opertunity to explain a sensitive subject.

they should hang their heads in shame. not seen the lass myself but good on her not to hide away and why should she. at least she can see for herself the huge support she does have rather than just the negativity.
i wonder how these parents, that have objected, see a child with a disability on tv?

The parents that complained should be ashamed! Their kids are going to grow up with a rose tinted glasses on if they wrap them in cotton wool like that! I went to school with two people who had deformities due to the drug Thalidomide, and because we were so young we just accepted them for who they were. What better way to educate a young child not to think of a disabled person as 'different' or 'scary'.

That's shocking. Bloody fools, if she's good at her job, she should keep it.

I know a student with no arms who doesn't let it stop her partying out on a heaving dancefloor. It shocked me the looks she'd get while boogying, from both lads and lasses, I just don't understand why people can't admire these people for getting on with their lives instead of passing judgement! They show courage and determination and deserve the utmost respect as far as I'm concerned.

Good on this presenter and shame on people for complaining, she shouldn't have to deal with that

It's truely disturbing what bullsh!t some people will complain about. It's more likely that the parents feel akward when watching as they obviously have such narrow minds that they can not accept someone with a disability doing better in life than they are.

I second that the parents should all grow a pair and explain to the kids that life isn't always perfect

Non of my kids have seen Cbeebies on the TV since we had Sky installed. So meh...

But following keith's comments, I had to google her. She's not bad, but not as good as keith makes out.

If the BBC sack her, at least she should have an open & closed discrimination case. If they shunt her forcibly to another job life could be more difficult for her though.

Hopefully nothing will change for her though.

Much funnier found on link above
This is not the first time The Jeremy Kyle Show has faced complaints over swearing. Last summer, ITV aired (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcasting/a108259/scots-c-word-escapes-kyle-censors.html) a Scotsman using the 'C' word because censors could not understand his accent.

Another parent wrote: "Is it just me, or does anyone else think the new woman presenter on CBeebies may scare the kids because of her disability?"
They know they are in the wrong but still seek affirmation.

Don't think Xenophobic is the right word tho' :???:
