So, I was riding along, happy as literally anything, and then suddenly I had no clocks. Nothing. The headlights still work and when I press the alarm fob the turn signal still flashes, same with main beam too. However, the indicators aren't working at all and again no clocks, no backlight for clocks, no nothing. Also, the alarm rearms itself every 30 seconds when I'm riding now, which is certainly a lot of fun.

Had a look at the connections, all seem fine except just next to the main plug into the clocks, there's a three pin connector with two wires out of it, one black and white and one either orange or brown. Now I'm not sure where this should be, but there doesn't appear to be any connections within reach! It's very confusing.

The bike is a 2000 SV650S. Any ideas, clever chaps?

All fixed, 15A blade fuse gone (signal fuse) which is likely because my signal is flashing faster than it should be.

I think the important question is "why did the fuse blow"...and I'm not convinced it's because of the indicators flashing too fast.

Check your wiring loom....where the main loom runs past the subframe/bolt for securing riders seat.

Edit: do have a good look as sometimes it might look okay but it's really isn't. I once had a similar problem as you have discribed(also had an alarm on that bike) and that was the cause. Interesting when it cuts out whil;s cranked over
