Hiya everyone speedo still not working, changed speedo rotor
even though the one we removed was in perfect working order, is the next course of action likely to be the sensor?

Checked all wiring to the connector even took apart and sprayed with wd40.

Priced one today it's 110 quid has anyone got one they don't need
or were i can source one, tried fleabay only one is for 2000 model mines a K3 would that fit?

Thanks for all the help in advance getting fed up now!:(:(

Have you changed the bit with the four black tabs on, is that what you are saying?

Ye that's the rotor, that was like brand new,but as i had already ordered it presuming it was that fitted it anyway.

So what aspects of the speedo are working? Lighting to it? Odometer working?

Everything is working fine, the odo was working before i took it apart and changed rotor, that's not working either now.

So i've disturbed something. but like i said everything else works fine.

Do you think it is the sensor? is it worth buying?

don't know mate-you've changed the rotor so by elimination you then go onto the wiring-wiggle the connections and see if the rev counter jumps back to life, failing that see if you have a mate who can try your cable on his and see if it works

The rev counter has never failed to work it's always worked. good idea about trying a mates don't want to loose that one on fleabay though? What would you do?

i'd buy it -but thats why my garage is full of spares-i'm becoming a sv cleptomainiac(sp)-you never know when you or someone will need a spare part

I know what your saying but i bought the rotor thinking it was that.

Stuff it i'll buy it can always sell it on, like you said someone will always need it.

Thanks for the advice mate.

Very constructive thanks for that mate.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be unhelpful. As bikes get more advanced and include more and more electronics, I guess they get harder to diagnose too! Bring back the good ol' cable drive!
