I haven't got one of me at 16 with my Yamaha FS1E. It would be 26 years old and faded by now if I did!

Here is my first bike. Suzuki X5 200. Wanted an X7, but couldn't afford the extra £100 finance. She was £695 brand new Reg No SMB163V,so you can work the year out.

The first bike I started on was my dad's old Yamaha Jog 50cc scooter (it was pink/red) and it did 33mph, 33!!

But my first bike, that I bought myself, was the Suzuki EN125! Cool bike, cool wheels, but it had nylon tyres and I never changed them (as soon as I was comfortable with the bike, i did my test and got an SV650s).

Great times. :)

Nor me. A whole lot of my photos got destroyed by damp when I was between houses and storing everything in my sister's garage - it got flooded out and I lost loads of stuff. My mum has some of me on the RD250 and 400 I had at 17 and the KE100 I nearly died on.

Would love to post a picky of me with my first bike but my folks divorced in 76 and both claim the other took all the family photos. Back then I did not own a camera.

Well shame time, the first bike was a blue Garelli moped that I had to straighten the forks on. Once done my dad sold it an bought me a d7 that needed an engine rebuild.

It was a hard life building engines, doing car body swops etc whilst studying for your 11+.

Haha, my son was a Pokemon Grand Master or something like that. I haven't a clue about that kind of thing, but I know that on one weekend visit to my place up north he cleaned out all the local kids of all their cards, and he was only 7 at the time.

He moved on to Warhammer but sold everything up about 2 years ago when he discovered girls.

I know, I even had a car at that age, a Ford Anglea van with the back end cut out so that I could carry a load in the fields. I was only a small runt and unable to drive a tractor as I couldn't push the clutch/brake hard enough.

We started with a go kart with a 175 villiers, but it was a pig to pull start for us kids and little ground clearance. The Anglea was ideal, you could get a bale in it, electric start and when that failed a cranking handle

I had a string of BSAs which all cost me between £10 and £25,fixed them up and sold/swapped/just wrecked them. Then came the CB175 which was a tidy looking bike but forever breaking down.So I went the whole hog and got a Ducati 250 desmo and kept it for many years,(most of them in various stages of repair)

My Fizzy, only it didn't look this good when I owned it in 1978 - It was battered to hell when I gave it up on my 17th birthday. My little sister inherited it and she and her son restored it 3 years ago for him to ride when he reached 16.

It cost 200 quid in 1978, my lil sis spent the best part of £2500 restoring it. Since it was finished I pointed out one fault, it had the wrong sidepanel stickers - they should have read SS50, because this was one of the original Yamaha SS50s, not actually a FS1E. She's now put the right ones on.

I gave mine to my little sister and she stashed it at the back of my dad's garage when she passed her car test in 1983. My nephew didn't even know it existed until he was 13, which was four years ago
