Dan what year are you looking for/whats your price range?
Done the deal already Rob... She wanted another Mk1, found a lovely 1998 registered red one locally. Only 66K on it and not a patch of rust on her. Just over two grand, so I'm happy.
Sounds like a great deal that. Must be last of the Mk1s.

It is late... registered on an R, end of March '98. Nice straight UK car with black leather piped in red, PAS and e/w. Needs a new front wing due to stupid parking dent on the wheelarch but that's no worry for me. Drives looovely. It's a cracker.
very tidy. Mine unfortunately has succumbed to the rot fairy (not quite 8 yrs old yet) so having the arch & sill done at the end of this month

I've come to the conclusion that when they start to go, they go FAST. First job when Richie gets back is to get er on the lifts at Leeming and get the Waxoyl out ;)
You're not wrong. I reckon this has taken hold in about 6-7 months. Started towards the back end of the summer. Shows up on a silver motor too.
I feel sorry for all these folk buying white cars at the moment, as they look really bad when they begin to rust.

Too right. We looked at a white Eunos today which had been tarted up by a dealer, but it just looked shabby. Rusty dented sills and nasty scabby arches - and it was only about four hundred quid cheaper, with more miles.
Well happy with what we found though, and Hayley's got a grin like a Cheshire Cat, so that's nice.
Dan theres an MX5 specialist somewhere up here, in Durham area I think but I have always thought he was VERY expensive.
Some really good deals on 5s at the moment. I cant really believe how much the prices have crashed since the beginning of last summer. This time last year, I think I could have easily commanded £5995 for the car, now I'd be lucky to get £4495, possibly less.

There's several round our way, luckily. You're right about prices, although some of the Mk1s are still getting silly money. Once the wing's sorted, I reckon Hayleys could go for near on 3 grand in the summer.
Trade's been really good in convertibles over the last few weeks though - I've been finding cars have been going in a few days after advertising, so I reckon if you're still wanting to get shot of yours now's the time to get it advertised.

Friday night went over to my ex's, we ended up entering a local pub quiz which we won, mainly by having 9 people in our team vs 3 in everyone else's. Cheating FTW! Then we drank the prize and entered the karaoke.
Then had to get up 5 hours later :smt104 to go to the borders and help rebuild a mountain bike trail. Which was pretty interesting work, kind of overstressed my pipecleaner arms though. Then went for a ride after. Then blacked out, and just woke up now :D
Tomorrow, I am going to do exactly nothing, it's going to be great.

Friday night - sit at home with the missus and generally do fack all.
Saturday - Up to brum for family meal, stay the night
Sunday - Come back at whatever time. Go and catch Jester down Silverstonage, have a natter and coffee. Go home, scratch myself and admit that my job really sucks and I need a new life.
It panned out like this...
Friday night - Sat in with the missus and chilled all night 8/10
Saturday night - Walked to Tesco with missus, bought a suitcase and walked back with it (bright pink doesn't suit me) Then the Brum family came to mine and had a meal with us at home :) Late that night, I was convincing my missus I wouldn't be even dreaming of doing Sunday's trackday as it was wet and I just couldn't afford it, but would be kicking her out at 9 cos she had work and I wantde to be at Jack Hills for 9.30. 7/10
Sunday - Bright and early up, removed mirrors from bike and put some tools together, kitted up and taped up (my boot). Went to jack hills, brekkie :D Picked Ady up, rode down to Silverstone, time moved on and it got drier, within 30 mins, we were agreed to get the afternoon sessions for £50, went to Ady's, psyched up for the afternoon, the more I thought, the more I got worried we were gonna get black flagged for our exhausts lol. Got back, heard the important very handy bullshizz from the man. 2.40, we were out there, pressures were way too high and once I got in from the session my chicken strips were fluctuated down the side (not straight), Treacle, said likely to be the pressures, he said what you running? err 42...  2nd session, got it clicked and was trying to sort out my lines from here on. Couldn't wait to get out for the 3rd. Old style ZX6-R came past me and he was my target to focus on from then on, got up his **** (ish) through the right for the back straight and... WOW SLIPSTREAM REALLY WORKS!!!!! That or he was rolled off a little, but he was crouched in and I managed to get right along side him and then had no more to give and had to outbrake him into the left and screwed up my entry to the right but kept him on my outside then he left me no option into the chicane but to let him through. Fair play. What a fricking cooooooooooooool day. Nice little blatt back to mine via the a/b roads past my missus's. Thanks to Treacle, Jester, Paws and Ady for a good day :) Thanks to Ady for convincing me. Top day, will be doing that again :) 11/10
