...does footfall fanism cease to be an enthusiast's hobby and become a mental illness???
I'd say about here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/rss/-/1/hi/england/manchester/7916361.stm
A Manchester United fan has recreated Wembley Stadium in his front room because he failed to get tickets to see the team in the Carling Cup final.
Phil Spark's Didsbury home now has a turnstile on the door, fake turf on the floor, stadium seats, crowd pictures on the walls and a pie heater.
The 25-year-old and his friends will watch Sunday's game against Tottenham on a big screen in the mock stadium.
He said: "This is the next best thing to being there.
Of course, you could argue that supporting Manchester United is a mental illness to begin with...;)

Cheeky feckers :p
Mind you, I do feel sorry for Liverpool fans at the moment....... so close but it's slipping away like grains of sand through the fingers.
I am a football fan (although my interest has waned heavily in the last couple of years), but I think that is going a bit far. He should have not bothered with the seats and instead stuck a terrace bar there so they could all lean against it.

of course what he should have done also is paint a swing bin with a photo of a referee on it so when they're all lashed and they throw their half full lager cans at him they don't land on the floor:mrgreen:
