Model differences?

what is the differance between a suzuki sv650 s than a Suzuki SV 650 X-K2 ect and k1 , as im looking for a rack and all i now is my bike is a suzuki sv650 s year 2000 . thanks

Nothing. sv650X means the naked on as far as i know, but that wont affect a rack fitting (i assume you mean for a top box). There are no differences in the bikes untill 2003 when the pointies were introduced.

Suzuki call them by a year code. It isn't the same as the reg number.

X = rolled out of factory in 1999
Y = rolled out of factory in 2000
K1 = ....2001
K2 = ....2002

So, you can get 2003 registered bikes that are actually K2's. Reg number is not important!!!!

For 10 points. What year would a K3 have been manufactured?

Some engine internal differences, 99s are prone to epic oil fails. The K2 got preload adjusters on the front.

oh the year thanks , allso a year 2000 sv are the racks fitted the same years onwards ie 01,02,03,04,05,06,07 ect
