Oh wise ones.
Now as some of you may remember a while back I spoke of commission being paid to me from my work. This has not been the case unfortunately and TBH I am so hacked off from this place, I made myself sick 2 weeks ago.
The way the company is run, the way I am treated, the nitty stupid tasks I am asked to do, I am relied on to do a lot more than the boss thinks, so he keeps piling it on. I have to clean up dogsh1t, dog **** on the office laminate flooring.
I feel like I never leave this place weekly, I leave of a weekend and can drop my worries and get on with the weekend, however come Monday morning I feel like **** and last week comes back to me.
So, I have an interview tonight, to go back to being what I used to, a more suited to me (IMO(hour-wise)) physical job, that requires perfection but can only be done at one speed and everyone can see what your up to. Back to been a good old chef...Like I used too.
If I get the job, my intentions are to finish my application for the prison service and send that off. Because that is what I want to do, be part of a service, be it police, fire etc.
Now my dilemma, do I take some time out and wait until I get back from Paris to restart work, which will be in just over two weeks, but they require starters ASAP. And because I'm at the end of my tether, I will walk out from here soon, I have no contract so not binded to here that I know of, and the way things are run here, I know it can be done. Or do I start ASAP at the new job if I get it.
If I don't get the new job, I may just take some time out, only for a month, so my real questions are the one raised above and.. From personal experiences, how bad/good an idea is taking some time off and returning to work in a new job?
Thanks people :)
