Picked it up on Saturday. This is my new Race Bike project. A 1994 CBR600 Steel Frame.
As you can see from the pics it does need work, but it's all there. The bloke I bought it off lowsided at Anglesey & lost interest. It has a standard engine, but my son has a spare tuned motor, so will drop that in once I get used to it :) A word to the wise though. If you go to buy a prject that is in pieces, make sure you pick up the nuts & bolts as well, which I didn't :( or it would have been up & running by now. I've got to order some bolts etc now :(

She will be up & running within a couple of weeks (I hope) it's mainly cosmetic & with it being a race bike, it doesnt need to be pristine.
I am off to 3 Sisters in Wigan for a test Day on Wednesday, have a play on the FZR at somewhere different to Oulton Park.
Trouble is, I'm starting to think about giving up road riding now, I seem to be getting more excitement out of the track. But I know if I sell the SV I'll want to go for a ride when the weather is better & my mates are going on theirs.

Cheers matey. Prefer twins & singles myself, so the IL4 will teach me a lot. Beggars cant be choosers though I suppose. :)

Thought I would update with a couple of new pictures. Total cost including the bike less than £600.

I'll be honest & say that the photos make it look better than it really is, but it's a Track/Race bike, so it is a bit scruffy.
I have still got a few things to do, but it is virtually ready to go. Should be having it's 1st outing at a 3 Sisters test day on 1st May. I'll find out what problems it's got then :)

thats not the same bike, you've swapped it haven't you?:D
1st of may, 3-sisters. might be free for that if you need encouragement.
Looks great for £600 that, well worth a good thrashing and atleast your not going to have to worry about throwing thousands down the track!!!

Be nice to see you Dave, been a while.
I am not really that pleased with the finish, but when I have a few more pennies I will be buying some new bodywork & of course I'll be robbing my son's tuned motor (Be rude not to):thumleft::cool::p

very nice, and in the right colour
but.......... you have copied the 05 blade (and probably 600) paint job, where the bottom fairing is black, so looks ½ faired#-o

Cant beat a bit of Yellow, thats what I say :)
I have copied the original Ten Kate Honda colours, it was going to be yellow & blue the same as my CB500, but I had a premonition & it ended up that colour :thumleft::cool:
fair enough, some stickers on the black bit will look good
is that a corbin seat?;)
