Me again!
Loving the advice on here at the moment! You're all very knowledable!
Does anybody know the difference between a sculptured/lowered/gel seat? Is there any difference in comfort or height??
I know a gel is going to be more comfortable but really I want to reduce the height of the bike so wasnt sure if a sculptured or lowered seat was better... so confused! :???:

Lowered or sculpted are usually similar - means they cut material out of the original seat to make it lower, then re-cover it.
Gel seats are just seat made of gel, which is more comfortable to sit on as it moulds around your bum. Some places that sculpt/lower seats also stick a gel pad in to compensate for the lack of foam padding.
One other thing to consider if you are getting a lowered seat is that the tank will seem higher to reach over/around as you are sitting a bit lower behind it.
It depends on personnal preference.
Suzuki go a genuine lowered seat for about £33.
Its a bit harder than the standard one but a few rides later and you wont notice.
Its quoted as being -10mm, but it seems to make a bigger difference than that. Some people will claim to have a lot more than that chopped out of their standard seat, but if you look at the seat you've not exactly got loads to start with.

I bought th Suzuki gel seat and haven't regretted it, although it doesn't make the seat lower it's far more comfortable than the original.
