Do you guys tend to use?
Just interested really, as I'm 99% sure that the SV won't be making it on the road anytime soon again and will be purely for trackday madness.
Whats the best out there for use?
I often see what looks like a GSX-R fairing on a lot of track bikes, is the fitting kit made to fit? Or is it make it fit yourself stuff.
Cheers guys n gal (yvo6 & Sosha)

Trackday madness I'd keep what you've got. Or sell it and go naked. And spend the money you'll have saved/gained on trackdays.
Off topic but what the hell....

hi mate
will dig out a pic, i have a couple of belly pans im modding for track. if you and only using it on the road you can just trim it as i did origanally. still looks insane. i only said you had to mould it incase it was for racing
ARD racing, fairing belly pan and seat unit, good constuction, not too heavy, fits all existing mounting brackets, pre drilled and takes original screen. The dogs danglies, I use 'em on my minitwin.:)

Was the r6 seat unit hard to mount up? I'd like to see a photo of that.

They do look well, i run GSXR1000 K6 but yours looks better, how hard are they to mount up?
It fitted up really nicelly but required a custom front and rear subframe.
I managed to use the origional GSXR mounting points on the side which makes it nicer as well.
Perhaps I should make a few spare subframes etc and sell them on here if people are interested ?
I have Ardracing fairing on my Supertwin - seems good kit and you can get it coloured. Nice thing about that is it stays the same colour when you go tarmac surfing. I know been there already....
borrowed a pic - the seat is not from Ard, its a gsxr seat.

I dont see SV650 listed on ARD's website, how much is an SV fairing?

Heres the link (http://www.ardracing.com/suzukisv650.html) - you need to google "ardracing sv650" cause i cant find it from ardracing home.
best ring for uptodate prices - i think it was £180 for the fairing (colour extra)

BTW - Ards SV seat pic is not up to date - according to them. They have changed it to retain the seat pad.

They are the same as the JHS ones arent they? Just a bit cheaper. Cant knock them they are build well and seem to crash well too. Just a bit expensive for my liking and GSXR ones are more readily availiable and cheaper.
I used to run GSXR 600K4 then this year switched to GSXR 1000 K6.
Fit like a dream.

No point making it pretty for it to last the first session :p

Did I see a Minitwin running a 675 Daytona fairing in Thundersport Minitwins? Does anyone know if fitting daytona race is achieveable?
Can the GSXR stuff fit the earlier curvy SV 650?
Cheers

Yes you did , I think Alan Brown runs the red 675 fairings .
Anything is acheivable with a bit of imagination , ive got 600rr 08 fairing and an r6 seat on mine .

Here's a link which seems to suggest 03-04 GSXR600/750 is the best kit bar none for the curvy.

Any fairing will fit any bike , you just need to be handy with a dremmel and some fibreglass and be able to make up some brackets .

I have Daytona ones coming now where's that Dremmell
You are right any fairing can fit but beware using GSXR and other makes as airflow over the rad etc can be critical in summer to keep the bike below 80c (if you want to maintain power). Give Gary Smith a call at SDC peformance as he has perfected all things minitwins and has a really great looking fairing system/sub frames to suit and performance enhancing package.
coxxy
Have a look at these as an alternative:
5863
Both bikes now sold but you get an idea of the style achieved with the SDC modifications
I'll back up what's been said of Gary at SDC Performance. I have three fairings and seat units for my CBR600FW race/track bike, the only ones that fitted first time with no modification were the ones made by BB Plastics, which is the fairings company owned by SDC Performance.
The quality of the finish was superb and best of all, they were the cheapest of the lot..
The other two fairings and seats are back on ebay in the new year.
hi Lozzo,
Dont forget you can also get various race subframes made up there for your other bikes Lozzo, - goddammit you could race in more than one series with that lot!

Daytona ones fit very well. Anything fits really. Pro Fibre make very good fairings and Richard will make them to fit an SV also. Very helpful company. Last set i ordered only took just over a week and fit great.
Ive ordered a race subframe and clock bracket and also some side fairing stays to hold the sides of the fairing in place. They are tapped into the frame rail so are really secure.
Got a large double bubble screen too as am quite tall with long arms. Plus I have made the fairing sit so i can run the bars out wide which makes it easier for me especially as my collarbone still gives me a bit of pain every now and again.
I have seen a bike with a company two weeks a go that has had an rsv4 fairing fitted. looks awesome, best ive ever seen. i didnt have a camera with me though.
Just be wary of some places trying to sell you their kits when really you dont need the whole kit just some imagination, a tin of beer and a heater in the garage! which is the best part sometimes.:smt080

Mine 675 fairing is going on a Curvy and seem to fit perfectly width wise not quite at the bracket making phase yet.
Dont know what to do with the tail section, I'm torn between CBR1000RR 08-09, Honda RS250GP or ZX6R 07....decisions, decisions

My mate has just made me a superb rad shroud same as he runs on his supersport bike to aid airflow into the rad as some fairings creat negative pressure. Should see the bike run alot cooler. Spoke to steve Jordan and thiers run this too.
Just need a snow plough now lol
