Rear Brake hose length - Naked vs Faired

I ordered a HEL line for the rear brake but it was way too long. So I took it back and it turned out the guy in the shop had ordered the wrong one, he had ordered a hose for a naked instead of a faired. He phoned HEL and they said the hose for the naked was about 7 inches longer!

How can they be that different?

wouldnt have thought theyd be that much different not the end of the world though.

No it's no bother because I am getting a replacement. But I just don't see how the naked would be so much longer.

I know the naked has a longer swingarm but it ain't that much longer must be routed different
