Don't update to it! it's cr@p
Now when I want to read a new email I've got to put in my password every time. And it all looks and sounds rubbish
I want the old version back:(

Not been asked yet, but I know to ignore it ta! I always take ages to update stuff, only just updated to Windows Media Player 11 and am liking the new layout, still getting used to it though.... But I shall heed your warning!

Ok got the old one back but now all my contacts are small. How do you set it to show the display pics?

(one good thing about the new version is that it uses firefox when I go to my emails. But I have to sign in!)

ah I'm glad they sorted the default browser thing...there's no way I'm logging in to read my mail though.

Avoid anything to do with Windows Live is the best advice.

Look up Pidgin - its free and allows you to log into most of the IM systems at once.

Doesn't do video or some of the other junk that the others do, but if all you want to do is chat then its perfect.

Check the settings under Options\Security. There is a tick box for 'Ask for my password when I go to Hotmail etc.....'

Bloatware and yet another security hole?
Aside from the obvious attacks where you have to accept incoming nastiees what can be exploited on it?

I think it's much better than the previous, seems to crash a lot less, better search facility and looks pertty
