I actually miss the Roo, the food was.... food... But it was a deal, two meals for £8 I think now. Welly was nice(r) but not cheap

Not next week, I am away but very soon. It's a thursday IIRC? Although we sometimes went on a saturday. The recreation must be relatively accurate. Someone tell VB if he doesnt frequent.

Sorry I meant Thursday 26th or April 2nd. As Stretchie cant make it thats no good. What about April 9th? That is the day before easter break though which may not be popular.
Or we break with tradition and do the Tues 24th?
April 9th is good, clocks will have moved so we'll have that extra hour of daylight.... and I should be off work that day.... which is nice.

just a thought.....not a definate......ill only be there for an hour or 2 anyways...from say 6 till 8, anyone know if its child friendly?...just thinking of bringing the mrs (more orgers she meets more likely she will come on the AR!)...and that will mean bringing the little man....he's good as gold (if noone objects of course....could see how a 11 month old could cramp ya style!!)

Was that directed at me? If so its a rugby injury, this is my second operation on it, in as many years. Im in a sling at the moment but hoping to be out of that monday and be allowed to drive. Have been sat at home for 3 weeks.....not fun

Wasn't directed at you, was wondering what Stretchie had done with the V5.
That said I sympathize with you. Sitting at home and not being able to ride is not a good thing, been there done that. However fair play for sitting it out, I ignored the Doc's advise and think that its going to come back to bite me...

The road section on the eastern side of the Jct 16 roundabout that "bridges" the M4 north to south and takes traffic from Great Western Way to the Wroughton/Hay Lane exit.

Just to confirm for anyone else in the Sunny Swindon area there is a travel lodge/ beefeater on the Swindon side just before the M4 J16, we shall be meeting there at 16:00 hours then high tailing it down to the Roo. All are welcome.

I have problems, I'm clearly not equipped to be arranging anything. I will be canceling that trip with the lads to the brewery.

What have you done to it?
When I moved I sent off the V5's for the car the bikes. I knew tax was due at end of March but no reminder. I rang the DVLA and they never sent one, they still have the Blackbird down as the old address, they have looked into it as the other vehicles are all registered at the new address and have a greed to send a new V5 out, no charge.
So until I get that, I can't tax the bike...
Oh well, at least I didn't tax the wrong one

Well, the Roo is the same but the awful food marginally better but still enjoyably awful.
I arrived quite early and had a nice chat with Mac who you can always get some form of near sensible conversation out of, but then the others arrived and I remembered right away why I had given up going over a year ago :???:.
Some bloke also turned up saying he was Beenz, but he wasn't.
Another two hours of my life I will never get back.
