View Full Version : Datatool S4 Alarm
Not sure if this is the right section to post.
The problem I'm having with the Datatool alarm is 80% of the time when its set it will trigger after around 5-10 seconds and the siren will sound. It is becoming a bit of a pain especially when I arrive home late. I thought it could be a battery voltage drop or a sensor is far too sensitive. Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated.

I've got an S4 Red, I am vaguely remembering it stores the reason it went off? Not sure if you have to be in dealer mode to access it, but its somewhere to start...

Very odd! Does your rear seat have a sensor on it? If so check that the clearance isnt too big... if it is a little much and the alarm thinks its been taken off then itll scream a bit.
I know its not likely but if there is a chance... :)

reeto colzo.
not sure if this helps but i have a system 3 and in the trouble shooting section it gives a possible 3 reasons for this:-
1. failure of the system fuse. on mine its an in-line fuse.
2. movement/nudge detection censor too sensetive. need to ask an installer to reset it.
3. protective switch not set or adjusted properly. now i think thats the switch under your pillion seat/seat cowl.
hope this helps.
