Shire Horse, 10am, route something like this:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=51.515259,-0.780029&daddr=A329%2FReading+Rd+to:Unknown+road+to:Wantage ,+Oxfordshire,+UK+to:lechlade+to:baunton+to:51.919 497,-2.07058+to:A44%2FPitchers+Hill+to:chipping+norton+ to:A41+to:long+crendon+to:warborough+to:bix+to:51. 515687,-0.778999&geocode=FXsPEgMdAxn0_w%3BFW3hEgMd_pDu_w%3BFYDpEAMd-LLr_w%3B%3B%3B%3B%3BFfKLGgMdBOLi_w%3B%3BFZbMFwMdJ1 nu_w%3B%3B%3B%3BFScREgMdCR30_w&hl=en&mra=dme&mrcr=3,4&mrsp=6&sz=12&via=1,2&rtol=0,1,2,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11,12,13&sll=51.922885,-2.057877&sspn=0.094434,0.307961&ie=UTF8&ll=51.79163,-1.549072&spn=0.757679,2.463684&z=9

It should take four or five hours, so rather longer than the usual Sunday FOT.

Any takers?

Would have been well up for this, but will be doing IAM stuff instead.

Glad to see you moved the start to fit the B4494 in.

I'd meant to have that in the route anyway, but got it mixed up with the A338.

It's dead easy to find.

M4 westbound to J8&9, second exit on roundabout (A404), then second exit (A4), first exit on roundabout (A4) and the Shire Horse is about 200 yards up on the left.

yeah, I'm going to have to break the habit of a life time and use a motorway *shudders*

Bored of waiting, leaving the shire horse now.

Well, I enjoyed that, even if I do ache a bit.

Wonder what happened to Mart.

Excellent.

If you decide doing any more tours, send me an invite!

When I do, I'll almost certainly mention it here first. I try to get my arsc out for a ride every Sunday but next week's out, as are the 5th and 19th (already booked).

Maybe easter, depending what the doris wants to do that weekend.

But first, a hot bath. My legs are starting to seize up. Double the speed limit in six counties don't half take its toll.

You HAVE to do that route again. Only next time when I am in the country to participate. :D

Yes. So long as it is not a last minute decision.
