Me and maria nearly went ofr a ride to eastbourne.

but instead, we took a strole around my home town and took lots of pictures...

I've been washing and polishing the car, just a couple of coats of wax to go and the winter wheels to remove, got to get it looking good for the Nurburgring next weekend! Would love to get out on the bike, but still to insure it for the road, which I'll do when I get back from the Ring in the Pug.

Perfect weather, kids at parents, wife at country living expedition, live on the A272 so it,s biking mecca outside mine at the moment,
f***** right wrist in a splint gggrrrrrrrrrrrr.
So thats ruled out two things I could be doing.

I just wasted my life today. I am NOT happy. I stupidly said yes to doing overtime today during my shift yesterday, only to be greeted by the best weather we have had in ages and a nice warm summer breeze :(
I was stuck in a seemingly dark and dreary supermarket stacking shelves and putting out bananas.
Im not going to work next sunday, and i seriously hope the weather will be as good as it was today.

Chucked the Mrs on the back and headed off into the sticks to find a nice pub for sunday lunch before heading off home the long way round :)

I set off early and had a great time riding around south Shropshire. Shrewsbury - Ironbridge - Buildwas - Much Wenlock - Morville - Craven Arms, stopped for a bacon and egg buttie at Harry Tuffins cafe (which is closing:() before heading back to Shrewsbury. Had to be back for 11 to take daughter to a netball tournament up at Ellesmere (north Shropshire), but a friend of hers picked her up so in the end I didn't need to drive up there. Wifey and I decided to go watch some of it so Anne went up in the car and I rode up:D My bike didn't half turn heads when I arrived:D And then a glorious ride back, a R1 caught up with me on the A528 and wanted to play so I could hardly refuse such a polite offer, but he thrashed me:D. Only sour note of the day was I saw another R1 rider stopped for speeding at Munslow this morning - unmarked silver Vectra - in one of the 40 limits between Morville and Craven Arms - warning to MM2 attendees).

Yes. Closes 1 April. Only the cafe - Harry Tuffins supermarket is the landlord and they're jacking the rent up for a new lease so present tenant is quitting. It's a real shame.

I wasn't riding but did have a very nice cross country drive to look at an SV...and I decided to buy it, going to get it delivered next week hopefully. The fact I was overtaken by dozens of bikes on the Fosse way on route (including a mentalist really going some on a speed triple :smt049) pretty much made my mind up before I got there.

didnt get the fairing off, well not both sides, but got one panel off so that enabled me to drain the oil....then the next problem was that of getting the old oil filter off....grrr. some monkey has tightened it to a ridiculous degree.

therefore no riding for me sunday. saturday i got a few miles in so yay:D
