Well today i've been out and completed 80% of this route i've put together. It's a long one but i've tried a few routes from Barnstaple and the A377 to Crediton is a fantastic bit of road so it's going to be apart of it, I hate the A361 to Tiverton :-|.

We'll meet at Taunton Services in between Junction 25/26 on the M5 for fuel/pee stop, leaving by 10am prompt!!! (Phil please don't run out of petrol) ;)

I propose we have our first stop in Minehead for Ice Cream/Pee stop and photos ect (fuel if need)..

Then up the famous Porlock Hill onto Lynton/Lynmouth - Barnstaple (Fuel Stop) - Crediton - Tiverton (Little Chef/Fuel) From here those who want to get on can go via the A361 to the motorway and those who don't can complete the rest of the route - Bampton - Wiveliscombe - Taunton (M5 Junction 25)

The route will take a good part of the day it's 140miles but i've tried to avoid the main roads keeping us away from the Sunday drivers ect.

All we need now is a date, i'm thinking of early May, make your choice using the poll most votes win. By May the nights will be light and hopefully a good chance of some sun. :D

The usual drop off system will be used and a TEC would be handy, i'll provide a hi-viz jacket for the lucky one (Gid) ;) This rideout is open to everyone from newbie to Pete :p, i'm not the fastest but the pace will be good!!

Any improvements or further ideas please feel free to add!!! If you think you can make it add your name!!!

I'd wager that the people in your target area wont do the MM2 as its a bit of a trek to the start point.

I agree with Gid leave the dates like they are. That'll be a good route to, nice work :cool:

Yeh will leave as it is... Your wrist should be healed by then if you fancy it???

Can't commit to anything yet as I'm a man (and I don't know what my callout will be for that month yet).

May 23rd is good as thats the week befor BSB @ thruxton, i'm bound to have a pass for the day as i will have the kids camping with me the following weekend, happy days !

hhmmm cant commit as yet but hopefully be able to make it depends if i can get a pass!..mrs birthday on the 4th so its her birthday weekend, my birthday on 25th so my birthday weekend and im going on an all dayer to watch cricket (i dont even know the rules!)with the lads on the 24th...but fingers crossed as it looks good

Had another thought there's a few bank holidays coming up 10th April, 13th April and 4th May, 25th May so if any of these dates are popular then speak up. I know I don't normally plan anything in for bank hols.
