Well I didn't really think that there would be any here but 3 people are going today, one of which has been here just over 30 years (out of school)..........

Scary times ahead.

yep. There are imanent redundancies here too - we are being kept in the dark though - no clue as to who will be going. It is scary.

Although I have a relatively protected position where I am at the moment, I am still concerned myself. I fear everyone is in a volatile position at the moment and as far as I can see, it is only going to get worse before it gets better.

Yep, not good at my work at all.

100 People have already gone from one head office and we are in consultation for a pay cut as mentioned in a previous thread which will no doubt be followed by redundancies.

on the other side of the spectrum - i was in West Wales yesterday with a customer - they're paying 26-35k a year for IT positions (u need relatively good experience but not great) and they can't get people. they are desperate.

Same here, been at my place for nearly 10 years and my role was made redundant last month. I've managed to get something else at same place covering 9 month maternity leave with my redundancy protected, but come December 31st I'll be out of work. Hopefully summat else will crop up in that time :(

Aye, no redundancies where i am.....yet.

However we are being landed with different and additional workloads, refuse or kick up a fuss and you get the 'Well if you dont want to be a TEAM player.........' which seems to mean 'Looks like you are top of the sh*t list now eh!'
