I found this posted to another place on the net that I frequent.

"Mrs Grav and I attended the funeral of Sean, son of Tommy and Tammy of Tommy's tools, today. Quite a few bikes turned up to help escort him on his final journey out of love and respect for Tommy and Tammy. The funeral cortege and service went without incident at Colwyn Bay Crematorium but whilst we were following the Hearse back to the pub for the wake, North Wales Police decided in their infinite wisdom to pull the whole cortege into a layby and demand documents.
It wasn't just one or two of us, it was all of us, even the driver of the Hearse.........
I couldn't believe it. A dozen Police, one Dog handler and an Armed Response Unit backed up by the plod copter.
Tammy was livid as was a few others and I dont blame them cos we were ALL legal. They only decided to let us go when some folks got their camera phones out and started to video the proceedings.......
The Copper who took my details (whilst trying to balance his gun on his shoulder) apologised and said the order had come from the top. That can only be one person, Brunstrom.
The reason for pulling everyone? They had reports of bikers riding without helmets on........"

Surely the man has had more than his fair share of screw-ups, enough is enough.

Well, yes, we might have thought so.

But then he is a idiot of the highest order - so perhaps we ought not be surprised. His ludicrous predujice* wouldn't be tolerated if he had another minority in his sights.

*And let's not forget how much police time and public money is wasted on him persuing his personal dislikes, the man is simply a disgrace.

+1 for the above. He should have been forced out years ago, but still he is lording it up over people here. The man is a buffoon.

This should be on the heli-blog shortly, I'll take a look when I get the chance. See what's said there.

Nah... that would have been, New South Wales 25 years ago.

Seems it is the same s*** everywhere.
The only time that I have been in trouble with the law has been when I have ridden though a town when cops were targeting "bikers" attending events.
A couple of years back we had a hundred or so (iirc) Ulysses Club riders (over 40's) come through town and there were a hundred extra cops on the street to greet them.

Local cops won't usually s*** in their own nest, but there is always some tosser at the top who sends out the riot squad for giggles... and it happens the world over.

Cheers

I'm sorry - It was a post I found elsewhere just minutes before I posted it here. The article quoted wasn't dated soI took it to be more recent than 2 years ago.

I just try to ignore them now............ The process of checks and balances on the force fails miserably when the local Police authority spend their time with their lips firmly pressed to Brunstrom's rear end!

*I too think this incident actually happened a while back....

All hell broke loose in Au today... "Bikie wars" to quote the media... and the promise of tougher new measures on the way as a knee jerk reaction to it all... which means the average rider puts up with more BS.
