I've just spent the winter with my SV on the abba stand as I fit a GSXR front end to it. Over the last few weeks I've had a fair amount of 'gentle ribbing' from the likes of Jdub and Essex - not a problem, I can deal with that I can see a glorious bike coming together.
So roll on to the Friday just gone, bled the brakes done a couple of circles out the front of the house just to feel how the bike behaves, and then went and checked my kit.
Now I have spent a fair amount on my kit, and when you then come across your Daytona Evo Sport Gore-Tex boots with a crack down the sole of the amoured inner you'd be a little peeved......
£400 odd they cost.
Just got to hope that Daytona hold to their word of lifetime guarantee!
Bike's on the road, and I can't ride it :(
Daytona do keep their word.
I know a girl who sent hers back to be resoled just through wear anf tear use.........free of charge

I'm still waiting for the front end I won on EBAY to turn up. That was at the end of Jan, the sellers having a special spindle & spacers made up for me.
But a combination of the seller going on holiday & the guy who's making up the spindle wife falling sick, I'm still waiting
But it'll be worth it I hope, as I can keep the SV front wheel & speedo drive. The seller has already done this with his wife's SV.
I shall be calling the seller tonight :smt067

Yep, I know that Daytona will come through, it's just so frustrating!
Still, I'll just have to turn Kwak on it and polish the damn thing until it sparkles!

Bloody W***ers aren't they!
That my friend, is entirely your own fault...we told you the order things should be done in, but no, "the ring comes before the bike!" What do we know eh!:smt047

Haven't you got any doc martins or work/hiking boots you could wear?
Daytona do keep their word.

yes you can, and after a few years you can send them off to be rebuilt and repaired for about £70.

I've got a lovely pair of Meindle Chainsaw boots (class1), but don't want to wreak them!
And as for the two of you, that's the last fry up you'll get from me!!!
{makes mentle note never to play Doctors and Nurses with JDub and Essex

Sorry, I'm not a Chav - I don't ride in trainers.....
It's quite a simple philosophy: If you don't have the right kit to do something then don't do it - I wouldn't use my chainsaw without my lid, gloves, trousers and boots, so I won't ride my bike without a decent pair of boots.
I like being able to walk

I've never been too fussed about riding in para boots or the like. Not as protective as race boots but fine for resisting slide damage.

What, you go out chainsawing with your bike gear on
