That's what I found with that cat crap (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/cat-crap-antimist-wax-for-paintball-airsoft-wargames_W0QQitemZ170299257791QQcmdZViewItemQQptZU K_Protective_Equipment?hash=item170299257791&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318) stuff. You have to put it on before every ride, which I can't be bothered with

I've tried everything and the only thing that works without messing about every time you go out is the pin lock. No idea why but i could never get those fog city things to work for more than a couple of weeks.

tiny dab of fairy liquid, rubbed into the inside of the visor, then dried off with something soft. this works like a treat on my HJC visor, and doesnt work at all on my Shoei.

+1 just a drop no more. Polish it until there are no smears

It's always worked for me, although my new Aria has pinlocks, so I might give them a go

my pin lock wont work, for some reason it has a gap at the bottom of the visor, right where warm breath hits it.

That'll be why it don't work. Needs to be sealed to work, like double glazing :smt026

yeah i know but no idea why it wont work, the clear one was fine, just this stupid tinted one that's giving my problems.

A trick they use with diving masks is to spit on the inside of the goggles and spread it around. But to be honest, i dont want to spit on my helmet (no comments please on the innuendo). I personally use a pinlock that came free with my helmet. It doesnt work 100%, but its a load better than it was originally, you just compromise a little bit of visibility with the edges of the pinlock plastics.

Got a pinlock in my Arai and a Fog City Hyperoptik in my AGV - it's the way forward. Never had a problem with either and highly rate them both.... If pushed I'd say the hyperoptik is slightly better, but that's only because it's light reactive...

I also use the fairy liquid technique on my spec's when I haven't got my contacts in.

I had a Fog City Hyperoptik in my HJC lid and it was the mutts nuts, light reactive and good anti fog, although the seal wasn't as good as the pinlock in my Shoei.

The pinlock in my Shoei isn't as good anti fog wise, I actually thought it would be better than the Fog City as it appears to have a better seal

I've had 2 fog city hyperoptiks and both have failed on me in a fairly short space of time. The seal is not very good.

Now I use a foggy mask and bob heath spray. Every time i need to clean my visor properly (once a week or so) I give it a re-spray with the bob heath and works a treat.

Yeah definitely Pinlock.

Got one free with a shoei helmet i bought, its just perfect.

Previously i tried Bob Heath, that i found didn't really work at all, just produced a different kind of mist. Also something i got from the MCn show, that was like a pink waxy stick that you rub in. It was better, but i wouldn't say it left your visor mist free.

ive got the pink stick (oooh er) its ****e..... absolute rubbish. oh and lasts about 10 mins before it need reapplying

arcdef
29-03-09, 09:58 PM
well ignore what i said about mine not working, turns out the little pegs that hold it had turned round and after a 10 twist its sitting snug as a bug.

Pin lock all the way!

Shift it Anti-Fog, pink liquid, works a treat, lasts me to and from work, needs re-applying then, mahnaged a 300 mile run with frequent mizzle on it in the past.

Not perfect, but a few quid a bottle (lasts literaly years) its a damned sight cheaper than a new visor with pinlock posts.

Tho when new lid comes pinlock will prolly be standard.
