Has anyone else done this yet?

I've had a message appear on certain channels over the past view days saying that on the 25th (today) I may need to retune my set as a change is being made to the way the transmissions are being sent.

Got up this morning and all the BBC channels were gone - nothing else. So duly retuned the set. Found all channels but the signal is really poor. The channels are un-watchable.

Wondering if anyone else has this issue and what if anything can be done? Was thinking about a complaint to the BBC as it was a message on their channels, but I don't think it'll help much tbh.

For ref: It's a Toshiba 37" with built in Freeview that's less than 2yrs old and has never had an issue. Also have an inline signal booster attached to recieve the weaker signal channels.

was announced on south today yesterday

they're changing frequencies so you need to re-scan for digital channels

can't remember if they were also changing transmitters? might need to re-align your ariel?

That's a good point... hadn't thought about that. Bit annoying tbh.... paid for a licence, got a digital TV etc etc.

Well I re-scanned digital 3 times last night. No improvements whatsoever to the BBC channels. Everything else, inc. the analogue reception, is fine.

Had a search around online and it appear the Fawley transmitting stn was turned off (thought that had happened already) and Digital UK are the folks to complain to... bsatrads.....

Or Trading Standards Hampshire.

My channels are f00ked aswell...get grainy lines running across the screen. Only started a few nights ago so assuming it's because of this!

I retuned and then had to manually delete 80 channels. Why the hell are there so many when I only want BBC 1,2,3,4, channel 4 and channel 5.
Also channel 5 has a stupid number now like 1000 and something

Saw a bit on South Today - Digital UK have over 8500 complaints in the last 2 days... lol Not sure of the resolution just yet, but at least I'm not the only one...

grrr, 4 hours it took to get sorted. I had to get hold of new firmware for the freeview box, rescan to get the channels back with the right numbers, patch the firmware to get rid of the mheg interactive press the red button carp, delete 80 channels manually, reset all my timers - all just to get back to where I was before they stuffed about with it.
