Hi I’ve not long joined the forums, as you can see this is my first post. *Waves*

Mainly used the forum search to find things I’ve needed for the past week, but having trouble finding a question for:

I’ve had my “Pointy” for a couple of weeks now, but managed to bin it into a bush/curb after losing the back end before a corner due to wet road / diesel. (Was travelling around 15 mph when I hit, at least that’s what I think.)

The only main problem seems to be a slight crack on the upper left-hand side of the fairing, I’ve noticed that the handle bars and front wheel don’t line up, could this just be a problem with the handle bars, or fork? I won’t be able to check till I get home tonight, I really do hope it isn’t the fork.

Also I’ll upload a picture of the crack later, maybe it can be easily fixed without having to replace the fairing.

(My first "real" bike since I passed my test last year.)

Thanks in advance. :)

probably just twisted the forks in the yokes rather than bent anything. Realigning isn't a hard job, just takes some patience. Try this:

PS check the clip-on isn't bent, I think they're alloy so are a bit soft. Also check the levers, mine was bent but you couldn't really notice until you compared it with a new one. Certainly felt the difference though after replacing it. And I bent the main mounting stalk of the front subframe (fairing frame), all in a medium-sized lowside with no rolling around.

Thanks Johnny.

I'll be sure to look it all over.

Had same sort of problem with my pointy ie forks out of line heres what to do.
On bottom yoke theres two bolts eather side undo them and at the top there one each side undo them (they are a little trick to get at) but dont undo the clip on's as the forks will slide through the yoke. Then i got some one to sit on the bike and hold the handle bars stright and kicked the front wheel into line done the bolts back up and when for a ride to make sure it felt ok and thats it, HOpe this help you , Dom
