Went for a ride from my place (south London) to Lydd airport, took 2-3 hours each way and it was sodding freezing!! Didn't look too bad, until you got out and started riding in it :-?
And to top it off, it was sunny and WARM in France! (my and my mate went to Lydd to meet another mate, who has a share in a Cessna 172 and he wanted to fly to France for lunch...random, I know)
Anyone else get tricked by the BBC and it's "yes it'll be 12 degrees" weather reports??

was a lovely day yesterday, we went for a ride out into the hills.
sun shone, tea/cofee in the sunshine. Blue skys. but sodding cold last night.
suggest this is moved out into a more suitable idle banter area

I put it here cos I thought it was more bikey talk?? But don't really care where it is...lol
Edit: bikey talk cos it's about if anyone was out riding yesterday (and was cold :p )
It was a nice day, but yes i agree, a tad chilly! Done 140 miles around essex yesterday with some friends, one of them with the lowest SV i have ever seen!

For some reason that makes me think of a low-rider SV lol (I assume something someone would find in the States!!)

Yes, the frost on my bike on Sunday suggested the BBC was telling porkie pies with it's "12 degrees everywhere" claims.
FROZE on Saturday going to Colchester.
(froze coming back too)
Viney - we didn't see you? me and Supervox were trying out the AR09 route. Sure was cold
Sosha - if i thought it was cold sunday I KNOW it was colder saturday. really felt for you!!
BTW BBC did say max on sunday would be 9 around here

It was really warm yesterday in Notts, it was like a summers day! went for a tootle but didn't get chance for a big ride out unfortunatley.
When I read the thread title I thought you were taking the p1$$ until I read your post :D I went out for a 50 mile ride in the peak district and it was lovely and warm under the sun.

I went for a blast down the A2 towards Gravesend, via Meopham, Kent and then back up the A2, and I was freezing my kuhunas off.
Couldn't wait to get home and have a warm cup of tea. Hope it warms up sometime soon.

I was the coldest I've been for a long time. Had to stop at Cambridge services and the feeling took a painful age to get back into my hands. That'll teach me to wear unlined summer gloves and leathers.:(
