The A39 from Bridwater down to Minehead's not bad. Not taxing at all but not bad
OR on the way to Minehead take a left at Williton onto the A358 to Taunton, that's a nice little road. Used to use the pair of them to scrub in new tyres.
There's always Cheddar Gorge and around there.
There's lots, you could take in a nice little trip to the bus stop at Abergavenny ove in Wales. Take about 45-60 mins to get there.
What you up to this week?

Me and Spikenipple rode through the Exmoor national park and it was absolutely phenomenal... :D
It's a bit of a trek out of Brizz but it's worth it! :)
Working!
I know the good ones in Wales, I'm from Cardiff and used to go to Brecon a lot and had friends in all manner of random parts so know a fair few of them, just need a few closer to 'home'!

My favorite route, but watch for gravel after rain and goats on the road.

Just got in, been losing money to my mates playing poker.
Theres a trend I'm seeing and it seems all the best routes are as far away from Bristol as possible. I can take you on some cracking routes around north Somerset, I've proposed a rideout which is a cracker but I've not had too much interest as yet. Give me a shout if you ever down Taunton way!

Cheddar linked to Burrington Coombe, over Mendips via Priddy into Wells is lovely, just go up there are take any roads signed to those places. Some very fast straights too, but watch for cross roads etc on them in Mendips. Chew & Blagdon way are very nice. Probably not 'perfect biking roads' but lovely places to go around.

Who rememebrs Paul (??) guy with a blue ZXR. He used to take me out east of Bristol from Longwell Green way on a nice route that must have gone out Trowbridge way, but I cant remember where exactly. A really twisty hill was involved.
That's very close to me so if you remember give me a shout! Cheers for the help guys, i'll look these places up for sure when I've got some free time!
Think I need to revive this thread, I've not found any particularly good roads around me yet, they're pretty dull.
To help I'm around N.E. Bristol so would like to find a nice 'local' bit of road to get on at weekends etc when I'm not back in Wales.

That would be my route to work. Down through bitton through the twistys and then come out by old Feild girls School. The really twsisty hill could be Brass knocker on the other side of Barf?? However the Bitton road does have some twisty hilly bits.
