There's quite a few for sale on fleabay right now... search for 'SV650 lowers' to find em, £200 new.
Not too hard to fit, right? Worth giving the engine a clean and spray of FS365, right? Is it hard to remove them again to check/clean the engine? How often should you do this?

It's 3 or 4 fixing bolts each side, and some pop-studs to connect the halves together underneath, easy job.
Not much winter weather / road salting left now so the FS365 might be overkill but it wont hurt I guess. You can get access to most places that you'll see with the fairings in place so you'll only need to remove them if you're a clean bike fanatic.

Have you fitted them yet?
If they are the banditmania ones then theres a question mark over whether they are 650 or thou lowers...it seems they may be different shape/size :(

Yeah they are Banditmania ones. Description says they are SV650 ones but thou owners should be able to get them on possibly with a few different fittings.
First time I've seen YDV coloured ones so I didn't really want to miss the chance.
Only just bought them so should come early next week. So I have another week to spend in the garage swearing with my toolkit trying to attach someone to a bike!

Fitted. Hadn't anticipated buying a torque wrench!
They were proper Suzuki pointy-specific ones. Instructions could have done with another run through the translator (don't strong tighten the screw!!) but not the hardest thing I've done. Pics soon.

and replacing the left side with a spare panel I had, I found a brand new set on ebay for £199 or best offer... So I offered £150.. got them for £160 delivered. :thumleft:

Yeah, perfectly. Like I said, they're proper official Suzuki kit intended expressly for 650s, whether you could cram these onto a thou is another thing. In work for another 90 mins, then will be going to take pics so you can see for yourself.
