From what I remember for the SV it's 33f 36r for both, if anyone needs to correct me go ahead!

yes bear correct per the book & it doesn't change 2 up. BUT I prefer 36f & 42r which is common for a lot of bikes

It's book for book tyres IIRC. Check manufactuer's website which doesn't wanna load for me for some reason.

the label on the swingarm for my 2000 Sv650s says 33 front and 36 rear for solo and pillion.

this may sound like a silly question but if 33f and 36r is the recommended pressure doesn't 36f and 42r affect the handling?

i always worry if i am over by too much

2nd that , if you think about it in a way iff theres more presure in the tyre ,the less of the tyre is on the road??

i have just put the pressure in the tyre so front is 33 and the rear is 36 as most people say this is correct my pressures before doing this were front 25 and rear was 31 :S

Of course it affects the handling! I wouldn't do it if it didn't change it....for the better :D
The way I like it is the tyres rock solid so when you turn it doesn't feel squirmy to me.

I was riding around on 33f and 24.2r for about 2 weeks without realising. Hahah. :(

I rode on 9psi in the rear last week and didn't twig until the back end started squirming all over the place when I went round a roundabout. There was so little air in the tyre I could make the rubber flex by pushing it lightly with a finger.

I run 36 front, 42 rear because that's what Bridgestone recommend for my tyres (BT-021). Fuel economy's better than with the Suzuki recommended pressures too.
