Tax Question

If I tax the bike online today, would I be able to ride today or do I have to wait until the disc has arrived?

Can't decide whether to tax online or go post office first thing tomorrow morning! Want to get back on the road ASAP!

Not displaying tax (even if you've purchased it and it's in the post) can get you fined. Don't park it where any traffic wardens might be looking though and you'll probably be fine.

Greatest risk will be being pinged by ANPR - don't know how fast the db updates.

I taxed my car at the start of the month after it was SORN and it states on the website that there is a five day lax period for recieving the tax disk.

Only covers the first five days of the month though.
