Such a nice day, would be criminal to not go out in it. Done 110 miles which is the most ive done in one day so far (im sure ill top it though)
I went through roads we will most probably be using on the AR this year, and it was great.

I took a lot more, but i think this is more than enough for one thread.

Great!! So this is all Essex area? Worthwile a visit according to me.
Great pics and who wouldn't enjoy such a trip? I've also been out on the road. What a pitty most of Belgium has got crappy roads and even more crappy landscapes.

How often are meetings organized? Wouldn't it be nice to just pop over for a long weekend and join in at a meeting? :)

Yep all Essex. Started off in Danbury, Maldon, Woodhm Ferrers, Burnham-on-crouch, Tillingham, Bradwell on sea. There wasnt a road i didnt enjoy today.

The annual rideout is the most popular meeting, i think about 80 bikes go and this year it will be in the same area i went today. Well worth attending.

110 miles, good on ya! I did 160 - 170 miles on saturday, was cold and foggy in the morning, bright as a summers day in the afternoon

Great pics too, i really like the one of your neat little 125 by the water (the first of those shots)

Thanks alpinestarhero and Rich. Yeah its certainly improved my riding, and i havnt even dropped it or come close to crashing - always a plus. On those bends today i was just wishing i could get my knee down (or just lean more), but on bicycle tyres i wouldnt dare. It will make me appreciate the SV in a few weeks though!

them there roads look quiet magnum, you have them all to yourself mate?

The roads were mostly quiet, got a little more busy later on though. The roads in Danbury (first pic) were al freshly tarmac'd. The white paint was barely dry :D

The people in Essex are so much nicer than in outer london. Even the van drivers arnt bad. All the old blokes drive really slow which is annoying when i find it hard to overtake on such a slow bike, but i managed once or twice to pull it off on the longer clear straights. I want to move there now...

Overtaking on the CG :o Your a brave man :salut:

It takes two things:
1. Open NSL road of at least 1 mile with no oncoming traffic
2. Full throttle in 4th gear

I bet you do the "tuck" too dont you....;)

When is your test by the way?
With the amount of mileage your getting in you should have no problems:)

Magnum

You mean ducking down to reduce wind resistance? I tried and it didnt seem to make a difference. The CG hits 60 on a flat and ive just tickled 70 down a slope on the A12. No need to tuck, it just feels noisier.

I will find out when the test is on tuesday. I have my theory on tues, which i should have no problem passing since i was two marks off last time :(
My training school wont book me in till i give them the pass number. So it should be in the next week or so.
Im up to 1.5k now since ive had it. Mainly its improved bike control. A session or two with the instructor will straighten out any bad habits, and ill be ripping off the L plates in no time.

I used to love taking the missus' CG out - I could cowp that over further than I can on the SV!

Lovely pics :)

I had to ride a CG for an hour or so before my test as one of the 500's had blown up... you'll never go back once you get on your SV. :)

Great pics Magnum, lovely weather for it! And the more experience on the 125 the better in my opinion, you should have no problem on your test!

I like the little CG's, had a go on a fairly new model and so easy to ride compared to that 'orrible piece of crap they got me on at the CBT place
