or will I be lacking extra bits of line to account for the extra pistons in the calipers? all advice appreciated :)

What's the line set up? The usual two line set up ie both lines running from master cylinder or one from master cyliner and then a loop over should fit.

Only thing to think about might be length(no giggling at the back there) but don't think there is a vast difference in length between both forks . Might even be a touch long but routed well, shouldn't be a problem.

Get the 'Thou' home and then check. If they don't fit(and I can't see them not fitting , to be honest) then no dramas, sell them and other new ones.

Brake lines are dumb....don't care if it's a 650 or 1000 :rolleyes: :-D

that's the lines :) just with the calipers on the thousand being 4-pots (i.e. twin cylinders on each side?) and the 650's being sliding calipers or something? - YC has explained all this stuff but my brain is full, hence all the technical info slops over the sides only to be remembered when I'm told again...

I'm assuming the existing lines I've got will work but I'll need 2 short extra lengths to account for the extra cylinders?

No, it doesn't matter how many pistons the caliper has.

The only thing that's important is does it physically fit to your bike? At which I'd be surprised if it didn't. However, banjo bolts that fit 650 calipers aren't guaranteed to fit 1000 calipers - they may be a different thread, I can't remember right now. Which means you may have to use the ones on the 1000 calipers rather than any funky ones that you fitted to the 650.
