YC very kindly offered to remove the maxton springs from my k5 sv650 sport before it is part ex'd tomorrow. They're linear springs designed to replace the stock items but with much better quality and a fair bit stiffer. Apparently "maxton engineer each set of springs specifically to the riders requirements", all I told them was that I was about 16 stone and want the front end stiffening up since making the brakes sharper with sinterred pads and braided lines, since the stock springs were too soft for me and the bike dive each time I braked etc...

so, they're for sale. Think I paid about £70-£80 for them about 8 months ago, and they've only been in the bike since december (no I didn't plan on swapping the 650 for atleast 2-3 years but hey ho). If anyone wants them, you'd need to supply your own fork oil (which can be bought from various motorcycle shops). I use 15w oil which really sorted the front out and built my confidence in the bike no end. Having put the standard springs back in today and then gone for a ride (see sig re: YC's advice), the standard items really are horrific.

If you're interested, send me a pm and we'll sort something out :)
