With much reluctance, as theres no room at the current house, and not a lot of time to spend on this project anymore:(.........

a chance to buy a piece of motorcycling history, the first version of the RD YPVS. Had this bike since 2002ish and have since fitted the chassis with RGV running gear.
Following a rebuild the wheels were powder coated at Triple S and were fitted with new bearings and seals. The motor had a crankshaft rebuild and new piston kit. Being sold as a non-runner as it had a big-end failure.
The sale will include 2 spare engines, original pipes, Nikon race pipes, spare bikini fairing (black), belly pan (black) and the original running gear.
Corresponding engine and frame numbers which for one of these is getting rare.

To get this bike back on the road it will require a crankshaft rebuild and the motor putting back together. Cosmetically the tank will need respraying as the original rotted(the current one in itself was a very difficult find) this one is sound apart from a couple of dints.
£1100 Reasonable as it'd cost a fortune to get this lot together.

THIS BIKE IS NOT BEING BROKEN FOR SPARES, IT WILL BE SOLD AS A WHOLE ONLY.
For one I do not have the time to break it, nor do I have the heart as I have spent many years gethering it together. Bring a van;)

Anymore questions pm carnivore.

Pictures a bit poo, but for reference anyway, as its been stored for a while.....in the living room of a house ;-)

We're in Halifax. She was lovely when it ran. Although I've never had the chance to ride her, Im Indoors has had plenty of grins :-) and I've just had to do with a lung full of two stroke!

Personally I really don't want her to go, but I have no room here, and he reluctantly said its time for her to go. I'll be waving her off with a tear :-(

That looks amazing! Is that the RD with the lightswitch power delivery!

The mechanic I go to still has brand new exhausts for these. Just wish I had a grand lying about.

No, the YPVS smoothed out the power delivery so there wasn't a massive kick in the pants as it stepped up onto the pipe. However if the powervalve servo is diconnected and the valve locked open the kick comes back, only trouble is it'd drink petrol (like fuel economy matters on a two stroke!).
