Another reason to NOT go to Aberygtas.....aberwrslo.....abertyvd.....Wales.
PS. Sounds like an incredibly blinkered view by the council.

Why does MAG not just organise a boycott of Aberystwyth?
If bikes are not welcome then stay away.
Wouldn't be too long until businesses started going to the wall - especially at the tails/either side of the season where its bikers, not tourists that are the main visitors.
I am sure there are other places to go in the area.
You cant win against NIMBY councils, you can only prove them wrong by hurting them.

Yeah, there are nice cafes in Machylleth just up the road. I'll be going there if the alternative parking is rubbish. There is something nice about a run to the seaside.

Forget the alternative - just dont go - why compromise ?
Otherwise the rot will just spread.....

See, some council actually think motorcycles are a good thing. The town centre car parks in St Annes are actually made motorcycle only on Monday evenings to encourage bikers.
Result is that a number of cafes etc stay open on what would otherwise be their worst day of the week for trade. Helps that the leader of the council is a biker
its not the local bussiness thats moaning, its the council
if they do stop the bikes, it will have an effect on the local shops

Who will have a bigger impact on getting this reversed than any bike group ever will.
So stay away and wait for the invitation to come back to be delivered - which should also include new signs on the prom permitting motorbikes................
Use alternative facilities they provide and you lose this weapon, and in 5 years those facilities get moved again......
