View Full Version : Word 2007 query
In the old version of MS Word, if you clicked on 'File' one of the things in the drop down was 'Properties' which was very useful for finding out when a document was produced and amended.
I can't find the equivalent on Word 2007. Help please!
Click on the big round "Office" button.
> Prepare
> Properties
You'll probably want to look in advanced properties in the pane that opens up.
Click the Microsoft Office Button http://forums.sv650.org/ms-help://MS.WINWORD.12.1033/WINWORD/content/O12FileMenuButton_ZA10077102.gif, point to Prepare, and then click Properties.
In the Document Information Panel, click the arrow next to Document Properties to select the set of properties that you want to view (for example, Advanced Properties). Notes
You can view custom properties by clicking Advanced Properties.
If your organization customized the Document Information Panel, or if the document for which you want to view properties is saved to a document library (document library: A folder where a collection of files is shared and the files often use the same template. Each file in a library is associated with user-defined information that is displayed in the content listing for that library.) (javascript:AppendPopup(this,'OfDocumentLibrary_5' )) or a document management server, additional document property views may be available.
Huge thanks!!! It's told me exactly what i needed to know. I'd have been hunting all night and not found it.
TVM again.
