Apologies if this has already been posted. I did a search, but for some reason my searches pretty much find every thread ever posted (or near enough!)

Was just reading this forum (someone sent me the link - I don't have a corsa! :) ) and thought I would share. Even if the bhp figures are exagerated, that engine will still be pushing out amazing power!

I love the 'Practical Car Magazine' stickers!

A SD1 with what I'm guessing is a Merlin in it - oh yes, very practical.

The original posted motor dressed up as a Granny - cool as fook.

It's the Rover that won the battle of britain, how much more practical do you want?

(sadly it's the meteor tank engine version rather than a proper merlin. Jay Leno has one in a rolls royce, for occasions when the jet-bike just seems a bit too much)

a friend of my brother had a corsa with a 3.0l v6 engine in it! he bored out a 2.5l omega eninge or something. it looked awesome, under the bonnet was just full of engine!

A granada's hardly a shopping trolley of a motor!

Cool build, I love the ZZZ ZZZ reg plate... kinda takes the pi$$ out of building a sleeper though :-D

There was me thinking it stopped at corsa's with C20LETS (2ltr turbo calibra engine) in them

Saw a 5door corsa on a forum once with a C20LET in it had something stupid like 500+BHP

Id be supprised if that granada could handle the power no matter what they do to it!

I know that there are faster/more power full engines in Mini's but just for the pure size of it...

2.5 V6 engine is a fairly large lump

Ah, but it's not a Granny anymore is it - look at all the fabbing that's been done and the new rear end too - all that's left of the original Dagenham Dustbin is the upper body, there's a whole new box section frame underneath and the back end is heavily braced too.

Just like the radio controlled cars I had when I was younger.. he can swap the outer shells for a change :D

Aerodynamics have a lot to do with things once at high speed and I doubt that the brick like aero qualities of the granny body would do it any favours, even the car the engine came out of struggled until The Stig off of top gear suggested a rear spoiler was added.

No the original koenigsegg had aerodynamics which were a little bit too good for straight line speed. Not enough downforce.
